LEGO Legacy Heroes Unboxed

LEGO and Gameloft today unveil the first trailer for a new game for iOS and Android smartphones entitled LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed which will be available from the next school year.

To put it simply, this is an RPG with the possibility of team fighting which will celebrate 40 years of the LEGO minifig in its own way by featuring many more or less cult characters from different ranges of yesterday and today. An entire program.

Gameloft states that it has worked closely with LEGO on this game, notably by visiting the Vault, the room that brings together almost all of the sets marketed by LEGO and by closely studying the most vintage instruction booklets to produce content that will satisfy the most nostalgic of fans.

Gameloft being in the loop, it will probably be a game of type Freemium, free at the outset and profitable thanks to advertising in-game and in-app purchases.

Below, a first trailer which does not reveal much of the mechanics of the game but which will bring back memories to fans of Captain Redbeard:

LEGO Harry Potter Collection: coming soon also on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch

Good and bad news for fans of video games, LEGO and the Harry Potter universe: the good news is the arrival on the Xbox One and Nintendo Switch platforms of the compilation that brings together the two video games LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 et LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7. This remastered version of both games was already available exclusively on PS4 for two years.

The bad news: Even though the graphics and special effects have been improved a lot since the PS3 editions of these two games, it all visually aged badly with outdated versions of the characters and builds. So do not expect to be able to play with the digital representations of the new minifigs or to operate in brick-based settings identical to those of the sets released this year.

Without having a new game to bite into, many fans will be content with this late port on two new platforms ... It's always better than nothing.

Availability announced for late October.
