It's not exactly breaking news, but there's still something that bothers me, so I'm bringing it up here: Set 10937 Arkham Asylum Breakout is listed on the LEGO Shop for €159.99. It's expensive, but let's just say it's not a big deal; it'll sell like hotcakes.
Where LEGO is taking us for fools is that the manufacturer claims it's possible to earn 319 VIP points for this set, which translates to a discount of approximately €15 to be used later on the website ( ...Earn 1 point for every €1 spent. For every 100 points collected, we offer you €5 to spend on a future purchase!... ). But this information is false, for a very simple reason. VIP points are only doubled during the month of October, and it's not currently possible to order this set. And it likely won't be possible to order it before October 31, 2012.
You might say that the automatic double VIP points system for all LEGO products during October is responsible for this situation. That's probably true, but LEGO could still have anticipated this. (The same applies to set 10233 Horizon Express ).
