On this forum, we therefore learn that the exclusive minifigure should be chrome. So far, so good. We also learn that the eyes of this minifigure will be orange. And speculation is rife: A reissue of the chrome C-3PO? a chrome Ewok? A chrome C-3PO, why not? The one produced in a limited run of 10.000 and randomly inserted into sets sold in the US in 2007 is currently selling for over €200 on Bricklink . A new version wouldn't necessarily lower its value, especially since the bag is almost as valuable as the minifigure itself, but it would allow more collectors to add this minifigure to their collection.
Minifigures in Chrome version are becoming recurrent at LEGO, Darth Vader ( 4547551 ), Stormtrooper ( 2853590 ), C-3PO ( sw158 ), all characters that have had a Deluxe version and are very popular with collectors.
