75053 The Ghost: Two versions of Kanan Jarrus' minifigure

Collectors of the Star Wars range, I have good or bad news for you (depending on ...):

LEGO has revised its copy and the minifig of Kanan Jarrus, marketed in the LEGO Star Wars set 75053 The Ghost released this summer, has changed.

The first sets released included a version with black hair, eyebrows and beard. The modified version to better reflect the actual appearance of the character in the animated series Star Wars Rebels is now dressed in Dark Brown (Dark brown) for the same attributes (on the left in the photo above posted by Ryffranck on flickr).

It's difficult to define exactly from when LEGO stopped selling the black version, you will have to check directly on the box of your set: The color change is also effective on the visuals of the minifig present on the box.

Note that the images illustrating the sheet for the set 75053 The Ghost on the LEGO Shop have not been changed, it's still the black version of the character that is online.

Another oddity, the set instruction booklet in PDF format mentions the presence of the two versions in the summary inventory with the references 6078987 (Black) and 6104426 (Dark Brown).

About the exclusive LEGO Star Wars set sold during the Fan Expo Canada 2014 convention which took place at the end of August in Toronto: Kanan Jarrus has black hair, eyebrows and beard on the box, but the minifigure delivered in the set is in good condition. Dark Brown.

Kanan Jarrus will have hair in Dark Brown in the set 75084 Wookie Gunship planned for early 2015. If you collect the variants, all you have to do is get a version with black hair and a head with black beard and eyebrows.
