Nothing ventured, nothing gained. And LEGO fans in the Strasbourg region have understood this well. Many of them "campaign" for LEGO to set up one of its official stores in the Bas-Rhin prefecture, in particular via a facebook page very active which highlights the photo-montage above.
It is a call from the foot, relayed by numerous media, which has lasted for more than two years and which has just received the support of an elected representative of the city of Strasbourg: Paul Meyer, deputy in charge of tourism and trade s 'is split in a letter in three languages (and with a few mistakes) to the management of the LEGO group to praise the attractiveness of its city and invite the representatives of the brand to come for a walk in the city center.
We do not know if LEGO has already responded to the local elected and if the brand will be sensitive to the arguments put forward, but we cannot blame the Strasbourg residents for their lack of motivation to try to obtain the installation of the LEGO Store in their city.
However, it is difficult to assess the impact of this type of mobilization on the strategy of the LEGO group which is probably based on a whole series of very precise criteria when it comes to choosing the location of a future official store.
The proximity of the LEGO Store in Saarbrücken in Germany, which is very popular with French fans, is probably not in favor of setting up a new store in Strasbourg.
Good luck to the fans of the Strasbourg region. If you hear of any reaction from LEGO to the current process, you can of course talk about it in the comments.
(Thank you to all those who relayed this initiative to me)
