Today we are interested in the new LEGO Star Wars polybag 30386 Poe Dameron's X-Wing Fighter, a 72-piece bag of which LEGO sent me a copy and about which not much is known at the moment except that it is already on sale at Walmart across the Atlantic.
The contents of the bag reproduce the very colorful X-Wing of Poe Dameron as it appears in the film The Rise of Skywalker and therefore in the set 75273 Poe Dameron's X-Wing Fighter (761 pieces - 109.99 €) inspired by the film.
The version to be built here with an ultra-reduced inventory is logically simplified to the extreme but it at least has the merit of being a little more original than that of the last polybag to date containing an X-Wing, the reference 30278 Poe's X-Wing Fighter offered in January 2016 on the official online store.
Indeed, we find here some parts diverted from their usual use (NPU or Nice Part Use for those familiar with the LEGO "language"): Carrots for the reactors and ski poles for the laser cannons. For those who did not understand the implication and who would regret the absence of purple conical parts at the rear, the carrot is an appropriate element here because of the color of the fuselage ...
For the rest, the wings are simply clipped onto the fuselage and you will have to find the right position and then no longer touch the ship so that the X-Wing remains in the attack position. Whatever the manufacturer says, I find that some clips are more finicky than others and offer more or less strong support. If you are looking for R2-D2, it is there in its place behind the cockpit, symbolized by a round metallic piece.
In short, nothing to get excited about more than reason for this small bag without minifig, even if the model is relatively convincing and benefits from a humorous touch. Regarding France, we do not yet know when and where it will be possible to be offered this new polybag or to obtain it against a few euros.
Note: The product shown here, supplied by LEGO, is as usual in play. Deadline fixed at 11th February 2020 next at 23pm.
Update : The winner was drawn and was notified by email, his nickname is indicated below. Without a response from him to my request for contact details within 5 days, a new winner will be drawn.
