Today we briefly talk about three of the many new additions to the LEGO CITY range expected on the shelves for June 1, 2022 with an announcement from LEGO which presents the concept at work in the boxes below:
|
Always looking for interactivity around its products, LEGO is therefore going for this time with a significant change in the process of assembling these different sets with a relatively small inventory: it is no longer a question of following wisely the instructions distilled from the pages of the paper booklet but to call once again on a digital medium that promises an unprecedented level of interactivity at the service of creativity. The construction phase is thus diluted in a story during which different characters will guide the youngest and offer them various challenges.
Technically, you will have to scan a QR Code present in the box to access the interactive stories which will allow, depending on the set chosen, to go and rescue animals, to conquer the planet Mars or to solve a police investigation. We can imagine that this digital overlay, which will be accessible on smartphone or tablet via the application dedicated to instructions in digital format for LEGO products, will extend the life of these products a little, even if many parents will hesitate before leaving a again their children have fun with a smartphone or tablet instead of simply playing with their bricks, away from screens.
