A Eurobricks forumer, Solscud007, was able to photograph prototypes of minifigs intended for sets planned for summer 2011.
Even though we already know what these minifigs will look like, it's still interesting to see what were the intermediate stages in the design of these characters and their accessories.
We will note the preliminary versions of the hair of Luke and Leia, or the accessories of Darth maul and Captain Panaka.

7958I give you some additional information from Toy Fair 2011 about the Star Wars themed advent calendar planned for this year: The set should (everything is conditional as usual with LEGO) consist of 266 pieces, as indicated on this preliminary visual, and should be available in August 2011 (?!) for the modest sum of $ 39.99 or € 29.99 with us, as usual with LEGO there too ......
In addition, the box indicates that there will be 16 mini-models and 8 minifigs. (Depending on what my eyes are able to read ...)

According to FBTB (From Bricks To Bothans), this set will be officially presented at Comic Con 2011 which will take place in San Diego from July 21 to 24, 2011.

In addition Order Cody, dressed in a very flashy orange, we find in this set two original minifigs but the representation of which leaves me doubtful for one and enchants me for the other.
Ki-Adi-Mundi could have been successful, everything was in place to make an epic minifigure of this character.
Except that LEGO screwed on his head what looks more like a dwarf cap than his natural growth. one would think of a garden gnome whose hat one had forgotten to paint.

Le Geonosian Pilot is much more interesting, well decorated, with a face on which form and expression have been respected. The colors of the minifigure are pleasant and homogeneous.

This set hardly enchants me. The catch-all tree species is of little interest. The minifigs are disappointing for me, although I read everywhere that they are very popular.

I never really liked the representation of Ewoks in LEGO, but here, I think we reach heights in the banality.

I have the distant memory of having already seen this kind of character in Kinder eggs .....
In short, you will understand that these two Ewoks do not find favor in my eyes.
the colors are badly chosen, theEwok black / green is a bit unwelcome and unsightly, as for Logray it looks like chocolate.

Another set that is only valid for the minifigs provided. let's move on Anakin, seen and reviewed, and admire these two new minifigs, with my opinion shared.

Savage opress is just awesome. the plastron, the dressing, the face and the top in thorns make this character a must-have to collect.

The look is mean, expressive, and the eyes, for once, are essential to the minifig's appearance. The metallic rendering of the plastron is sensational.

I am more disappointed with Asajj Ventress which I find decidedly unlike and particularly awful. The zombie side of the minifigure doesn't help, neither does the lipstick. The dressing of the bust and legs is ridiculously banal.
