You're probably thinking, "Why is he bringing up this MOC from 2009?" Well, there's a simple reason: I was browsing Brickshelf when I stumbled upon this rather impressive MOC of the AV-7 Anti-Vehicle Cannon, also known as the Republic Artillery Cannon , created by Pedro . And then I had a sudden hunch. I'd seen something similar somewhere in recent weeks, or at least something very close to it.
And indeed, the 9488 Elite Clone Trooper & Commando Droid Battle Pack planned for 2012 offers us a remake, a lighter and miniaturized version of this cannon used during the Battle of Christophsis and capable of moving (Those who have played LEGO Star Wars III know this machine well).
In fact, even though the LEGO version is ridiculously undersized compared to the canonical length of 15 meters defined by the book Star Wars The Clone Wars: Incredible Vehicles , it still has a certain family resemblance to the original model, and that's a good thing.
