He is in his superhero period, and more particularly Batman, and he presents a new MOC very successful both technically and creatively in the dark universe of the vigilante of Gotham City.
LEGOmaniac was inspired here by the 1992 film Batman Returns with Michael Keaton (Batman/Bruce Wayne), Danny DeVito (Penguin/Oswald Cobblepot) and Michelle Pfeiffer (Catwoman/Selina Kyle).
The result is up to the task, with this recreation of Tim Burton's snowy Gotham City and its disturbing but so surreal atmosphere.
As an aside, my favorite Batman film remains, of course, the 1989 Batman , with Michael Keaton at the peak of his powers in what will always be his best role in my eyes, Jack Nicholson at the height of his comedic genius, and Kim Basinger ethereal and sublime. All of this is set to a superb Prince soundtrack and in a wild, dark, yet unique atmosphere that perfectly captures the image we had of Gotham City as kids. And this MOC (My Own Creation) brings me back to that film, followed by Batman Returns.
As for the MOC itself, there's nothing to say, it's unmistakably LEGOmaniac . Maximum detail, very well-reproduced snow on Gotham's sidewalks, an intricate layout that obviously poses some photography challenges, but expertly distributed lighting and a Penguin perched on his duck – simply brilliant.
I forgot, if you are looking for Catwoman, she is present, but discreet as usual.
