Happy New Year 2017 to all!

Another year! Another year has passed and you have never been so numerous to come and share your passion for LEGO on the blog. Six years, 3300 various and varied posts, more than 100.000 comments posted, four successive changes of server to absorb the attendance, a few letters from lawyers, great meetings, time flies ...

Thank you to the regulars who share their LEGO culture here on a regular basis, to the passing visitors who have started to post in the comments during a competition and who have understood that it is possible to have a different opinion and to express it without fearing the wrath of some fundamentalists, to moms and dads who came here to look for a gift idea, a good plan or advice and who stayed to talk to other fans and to the youngest who come here regularly discover some new visuals of their favorite ranges to wisely spend their pocket money.

The passion for LEGO is not the exclusivity of a few, wrongly persuaded to represent the elite of this hobby and each fan therefore has his place on Hoth Bricks: collector of cardboard boxes, minifigs, designer or buyer. occasional products derived from a universe that he appreciates, etc ... Do not forget in passing that before being fans we are above all consumers and that we must know how to keep a critical eye. We love a product that doesn't grow on trees, marketed by a brand that seeks to satisfy its customers but also to make a profit, so you have to go to the cash register to fuel this passion that brings us together here.

I repeat, without all your interventions, this blog would have no reason to exist. I am only the humble animator of a constantly evolving community and I sincerely thank all those who make it live and evolve, actively or more discreetly.

I will say it again, the passion for LEGO should not prevent you from pursuing your projects: never sacrifice your social life or your vacation budget for a box of LEGO. Plastic cannot be eaten and when it comes to making choices, you also have to know how to remain lucid.

2017 is shaping up to be an exciting year for the fans that we are all here. I am fortunate to be able to devote time to my passion and Hoth Bricks, Brick Heroes and others will continue to live, evolve and grow. I hope this new year will be just as successful for each of you on a personal, family or professional level. In more difficult times, this passion that unites us will also be there to remind you of the chance we have to be able to afford ourselves this luxury of having other concerns than filling our fridge or paying our taxes.
