LEGO's gift to its employees: 4002016 50 Years on Track

Each year for the holiday season, LEGO offers an exclusive set to all of its employees. And it is obviously today that the distribution of the gifts took place, judging by the number of online listings on eBay : many employees are eager to resell this nice gift to supplement their end of the month.

This year's set is particularly successful: it is a box of 1141 pieces bearing the reference 4002016 50 Years on Track which pays homage to the world of trains in LEGO sauce.

Six models inspired by the iconic trains produced by the brand can be assembled: The very first train released in 1966 in the set 113 Motorized Train Set, the western locomotive from 1976 (726 Western Train), the futuristic train released in 1987 (6990 Monorail Transport System), the 1991 RER (4558 Metroliner), the 2009 steam train (10194 Emerald Night) and the festive train of 2016 (10254 Winter Holiday Train).
