Custom: Tomar-Re by Fine Clonier

This visual has been out for a few weeks already, but I wanted to wait until I saw the film to better judge the interest of this custom minifigure of one of the characters from Green Lantern.

The film, which I finally enjoyed despite some reluctance at the start, is also in pre-order on Amazon in version Blu-ray et DVD with a release date slated for January 2012.

Tomar-Re is a Xudarian (therefore from the planet Xudar located in sector 2813), an important member of the Green Lantern brotherhood, who welcomes Hal Jordan and shows him around Oa in the film released this summer. 

Regarding the minifig, Fine Cloner used the torso from the exclusive Green Lantern minifig from San Diego Comic Con 2011. The arms and legs are from a Woody (Toy Story) minifigure and have been painted. The head is made of plastic resin and was custom made. In the end, the result is really convincing and largely on the level of the official LEGO production.
