At the bend of the flickr gallery ofeldeeem, I came across these two reproductions of starships from the Star Wars universe: An X-Wing and a Naboo Starfighter, which LEGO has already interpreted in official sets on multiple occasions.
My first reaction was to find these two models relatively simple in design and poor in parts. But by reading the MOCeur commentary, I understood the philosophy of these two versions "and, too": Limiting the budget allocated to them was one of the parameters to be taken into account in the realization of these two ships.
And the end result is therefore a compromise, a kind of better quality / price ratio which is also a delicate challenge to take up, as the LEGO designers do at their level for the design of sets intended to be marketed in a specific price bracket. .
Knowing that the budget was taken into account, I therefore looked at these two ships with a different eye while keeping in mind that their apparent simplicity is in fact the result of a reflection integrating the financial dimension.
All this to say that money sometimes limits possibilities, but not creativity.
