Come on, just to make some more friends at LEGO (and elsewhere), here is an info that you can do what you want, but which at least deserves to be talked about: Greenpeace is launching an awareness campaign accompanied by a petition aimed at to denounce the partnership between LEGO, a manufacturer of children's toys which does not hide its ambition to adapt to minimize the impact of its activity on the environment, and Shell, a supplier of fuel which we can hardly do without but which incidentally threatens to devastate the Arctic and decimate by ricochet some of the species that inhabit the area.
The NGO therefore calls out to public opinion on the advisability of this partnership which, according to it, allows Shell to work on its brand image in the right direction, particularly with young audiences, by taking advantage of the aura of LEGO products.
The arrival on the shelves of sub-theme City / Arctic offering a polar context with sled dogs, research base, snowmobiles, etc ... is therefore an opportunity for Greenpeace to recall that LEGO maintains a partnership with Shell (More than 16 million LEGO / Ferrari polybags were distributed in the petroleum industry giant's service stations) and that the brand therefore betrays its commitment to "protect the right of children to live in a healthy environment".
Greenpeace's objective is obviously to push LEGO to give up its commercial partnership with Shell. You can add your brick to the building by signing the online petition at this address, you can not do it, it's up to you. To each his own conception of the protection of the planet.
The full report (in French) written by Greenpeace on the relationship between LEGO and Shell can be found at this address (Pdf).
I am waiting to see how many sites or blogs dealing with "the news"LEGO will take this information ...
