marvel guardians of the galaxy

While we learn of the arrival of Glenn Close, undisputed star of the small and big screen, in the casting of the next Marvel blockbuster scheduled for August 2014, here is some information on the film and its foray into our favorite field: The LEGOs.

First of all, I want to clarify that if the most lambdas fans all know the Hulk, Iron Man or Captain America, the team of Guardians Of The Galaxy brings together members who are not necessarily known to ordinary people: Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax or Yondu are not what we can call super heroes very popular in our regions, and in any case not among the youngest that invade cinemas with each film featuring a few super heroes.

In the cast of the film directed by James Gunn (Director of Super released in 2010), we will find So Zoe Saldana (Avatar, Colombiana) as Gamora, Chris Pratt (Moneyball, Zero Dark Thirty) in the role of Peter Quill aka Star-Lord, Dave "Batista" Bautista (Wrestler turned actor) in the role of Drax the Destroyer or Michael Rooker (The Walking Dead) as Yondu. Lee Pace (The Hobbit, Twilight) will play Basil Sandhurst aka The Controller. We also talk about John C. Reilly (The Aviator, Gangs of New York) to join the cast of the film.

Where the thing gets interesting for what interests us here is that TQ Jefferson, vice president of the video games division at Marvel taught us at the beginning of the year that these characters will be integrated into the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes video game among the hundreds of characters planned: "...If you're a fan of Spider-Man, the Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-Men, Guardians of the Galaxy or scores of other Marvel characters, this is the game for you... ”(See the official press release).

As things are going, there is no doubt that LEGO will release one or two boxes inspired by the film in the summer of 2014, allowing us to build an additional team of superheroes after the Avengers. Hopefully some of these characters don't end up as an exclusive minifigure distributed at some Comic Con, making it almost financially inaccessible for most of us ...
