... and we still do not know how many minifigs will contain this highly anticipated set which is announced for the month of August 2012.
At this rate, it would be better if it contained at least six: Mace Windu, Saesee Tiin, Agen Kolar, Kit Fisto, Anakin and Sidious / Palpatine ....
Information on the price of the set and the number of pieces it will contain was given by Sir von Lego on the Eurobricks forum, as was the public price of the set 10225 UCS R22-D2 which will therefore be € 179 ... A price that will certainly cool some who hoped for a price lower than 150 € ...
Here are some pictures taken from the HD video of Mike and Kurt's presentation of the 10225 Ultimate Collector Series R2-D2 set.
These close-ups will allow you to distinguish more easily than in the video the key functions of this astromech droid. Retractable central leg, control housed in one of the side legs, telescopic arm, retractable circular saw, etc ...
Click on the images to view them in large format.
It is 31 cm high by 18 cm wide. Not Kurt or Mike, but R2-D2 from the Ultimate Collector Series 10225 set .... It will be available in May 2012 from the LEGO Shop.
Well, how to say, for a UCS, it still lacks a bit of finish, roundness, smooth surfaces .... On the other hand, playability side (like LEGO, let's not get carried away ...): The third foot is retractable, the dome rotates, two front panels open to release a few tools. They should have gone all the way and put Power Functions in it to motorize it and deliver it with a remote control ....
Small update of prices on Amazon for Star Wars 2012 novelties. Few changes these days. Return of Planet Series sets for less than 11 €, that's always taken. The Tie Fighter is currently at 50.99 €, it's not the deal of the century, but it's still cheaper than on the LEGO Shop. Note that the Y-Wing is not sold by Amazon directly but by a third party seller, which explains the price higher than the LEGO price ...
Regarding the Planet sets, if some of you have already ordered them from Amazon, take advantage of the comments to indicate whether you received them in good condition (planets scratched, damaged, etc ... or not) ...

Huw Millington (brick set) was at the park LEGOLAND Windsor (UK) to ensure the promotion of the next opening which will take place officially on March 16, 2012 and brought back some photos among which these magnificent wall frames containing the series of minifigs to collect.
When I saw these photos in the flickr gallery in question, a thought immediately occurred to me: Why are these frames not offered for sale so that we can present our minifigs other than with homemade DIY or in the ugly plastic lockers that we can buy at a gold price now (30 € for a box of 16 minifigs ... that leaves you dreaming)? Admit that it looks good ...
