lego 40486 adidas originals superstar gwp

The launch of the LEGO set 10282 adidas Originals Superstar (731coins - 99.99 €) which will take place on July 1st on the official online store will in principle allow you to obtain a small promotional set, the reference 40486 adidas Originals Superstar.

The content of this small box of 92 pieces which offers a black mini-version of the model accompanied by a minifig in the colors of the adidas brand is visible in the presentation video of its big sister posted by LEGO on its youtube channel.

The logo of the tongue and that of the part which serves as the torso of the minifigure are stickers, there are only the three white bands on the shoe which are pad printed. Those who collect minifigs in sachets will have recognized the torso of one of the minifigs seen in 2018 in the series 18 (ref. 71021), which here becomes a shoebox.

LEGO has not yet confirmed the conditions of the offer, we will have to wait a little longer to know if this box will be offered only for the purchase of the set. 10282 adidas Originals Superstar or if it will be a more global offer subject to purchase but without restriction of range.

75310 lego starwars duel mandalore 1 1

We continue to quickly go around the expected novelties in the LEGO Star Wars range from August 1 with the set 75310 Duel on Mandalore, a small box of 147 pieces which will be sold at the public price of 19.99 €.

The set is inspired by episodes 10 (The Phantom Apprentice) and 11 (shattered) from the 7th season of the animated series The Clone Wars with the possibility of reproducing the duel between Ahsoka Tano and Darth Maul and then locking the latter in the Mandalorian Vault, the sarcophagus from which he will then escape with the help of Ahsoka.

The proposed scenes, which will remain in the memory of fans for a long time, undoubtedly deserved better than this really summary interpretation. However, LEGO only highlights here the duel between the two players, as is historically the case in other boxes with such minimalist content since 1999, the most recent being the references 75236 Duel on Starkiller Base (2019) et 75269 Duel on Mustafar (2020)

I had the opportunity to speak recently with two of the designers of the LEGO Star Wars range and their only excuse to justify the existence of this mini-set is to want to offer a range of products that allows all budgets to be met. to please.

It makes sense, but The Clone Wars is not a series only liked by the youngest people who are trying to make the most of their pocket money and many older fans with a little more purchasing power also appreciate this series and always hope to be able to make a difference. offer derivative products a little more elaborate than this type of ultra-minimalist set.

75310 lego starwars duel mandalore 4

The iconic throne of the animated series The Clone Wars is summed up at its simplest and the whole really lacks volume to do justice to the reference version. It is too compact to hope for a sufficient level of detail and the thing is probably only there to justify the designation of construction toy of the product.

The stained glass window placed just behind the armchair tilts backwards, a reference to the duel between the two protagonists and which sees Darth Maul being thrown against the glass. The functionality at least has the merit of existing but we do not find the two side openings left by the passage of the lightsaber. For once, I am not going to blame LEGO for diverting elements from their primary function and the two orange colored sheets advantageously replace the lights installed on each side of the throne.

The Mandalorian Vault is very correct for a reproduction on this scale but it lacks a sticker inside to reproduce the orange atmosphere seen on the screen. The very large sticker which covers the door of the sarcophagus is graphically well executed but it is on a transparent background and the glue hides a little from certain angles the opening through which we can usually distinguish the face of Darth Maul. A cut in this area would have ensured better visibility.

We could blame the designer for not having used the new saber handle available in quantity in the Monkie Kid range to finally equip Darth Maul with a more suitable accessory, we will be satisfied with the usual handle.

75310 lego starwars duel mandalore 6

The interest of the set obviously lies in the two minifigs provided and only Darth Maul is partially unpublished with a torso and legs very faithful to the outfit seen on the screen and a head identical to that of the "exclusive" minifig supplied with the 'work LEGO Star Wars Character Encyclopedia New Edition . The crown of thorns clipped to Maul's head is the one used by LEGO since 2011. Ahsoka Tano's minifig is not unique, it is the one seen in the set 75283 Armored Assault Tank (AAT) marketed since 2020.

In the end, this little set lacks ambition and the scenes in question deserved in my opinion a more serious treatment. The Star Wars range often has a bit of trouble daring to develop iconic locations with the same level of detail as the countless ships it offers and that's a bit of a shame. A real diorama that honors the context of this mythical duel would have been welcome, but we will have to be content with this little set, a little too expensive for what it has to offer.

lego starwars 75314 bad batch attack shuttle 1

Today we make the tour of the LEGO Star Wars set very quickly 75314 The Bad Batch Attack Shuttle, a box of 969 pieces which will be available on August 1, 2021 at the public price of 109.99 €. The contents of this box allow you to assemble the shuttle used by the Clone Force 99, two Speeder Bikes and get all five members of the Bad Batch: Echo, Crosshair, Hunter, Tech, and Wrecker.

We're not going to complain, LEGO clears the case by allowing us to assemble the entire team with one box. The manufacturer could have separated the five protagonists in at least two sets and we can move on here without having to go back to the cash register, even if the 110 € requested may seem excessive.

I don't verse you on both Speeder Bikes, the largest is the same as seen in the set 75280 501st Legion Clone Troopers (285 pieces - 29.99 €) except for a few stickers and the other is in Tech colors with a handlebar that is too wide for the minifig's two hands. The two machines bring a little playability to the product but they also cannibalize the inventory, the rest of which is used to assemble the Havoc Marauder.

The ship isn't really what you might call a detailed mockup. This is a simple toy intended for a young audience fan of the animated series and the finish suffers. The wings and center fin are only clad on one side and there is far too much empty space at the junction between the wings and the shuttle cabin, there are no landing gears and the cockpit canopy is satisfied with a red and gray glazing symbolized by a pad printing well executed but not very inspired.

lego starwars 75314 bad batch attack shuttle 8

Upon arrival this Havoc Marauder The slender-looking ship seen on the screen doesn't have much anymore, it becomes here a simple blue and black shuttle a little muddled and clumsy. On the functionality side, the wings can be stowed or unfolded and the lid of the central part of the ship lifts up to allow access to the interior spaces. Of them Spring-Shooters are integrated under the cabin, they know how to remain discreet and do not disfigure the shuttle.

The cockpit canopy is attached to the central cover via two clips but it can also be opened on its own. The problem: it comes up against the end of the central fin and access to the cockpit becomes a bit complicated. The layout of the cabin and the cockpit is really very basic, we will finally lift the lid to try to store the different characters inside the ship and quickly realize that the five members of the team do not. don't come in, one of the Clones has to stay outside.

The assembly of the Havoc Marauder is not uninteresting, especially at the level of the integration of the wings. The rest is just a pile of bricks and plates coarsely reinforced on one side. When the fenders are folded up, the various gray parts that hold the fenders are visible and the effect is frankly disappointing.

As usual, LEGO does not provide a display to be able to display the ship with the wings outstretched and that's a bit of a shame. However, it was enough to add a small handful of parts in the box to allow a scenario a little more interesting than the solution with wings folded upwards. There are also a dozen stickers to stick on the three building machines, half of the sticker sheet dressing the Havoc Marauder.

lego starwars 75314 bad batch attack shuttle 9

We're not going to lie, for adult fans and collectors, the set is only of interest because it allows you to get the Clone Force 99 (almost) in full. The minifigs are perfectly executed, the pad prints are superb and the accessories are successful as long as we admit that it is a somewhat cartoon adaptation of a cartoon which is itself already an interpretation of the physics of the protagonists. Many "custom" figures of the different members of Bad Batch have been around for a long time and some of them are a little more faithful to the outfits seen on screen than these official minifigs which do the job anyway.

If the helmets of Stormtroopers and other Snowtroopers do not usually seem oversized to you compared to the rest of the elements that make up the minifigs, that of Tech seems to me here visually almost too bulky. LEGO provides two extra heads of hair to be able to enjoy Hunter and Tech without their helmets, and the more observant will have noticed that Hunter and Wrecker use the same torso and the same legs. For those who would ask the question and who would not have held beyond the first episode of the series, Crosshair is here delivered in his imperial outfit.

The presence of Gonky the GNK droid is an interesting nod, but the finish of the figurine is a bit sketchy. Those who follow the series will probably regret the absence of Omega, but I'm not worried, LEGO will be able to offer us this minifigure in another box later.

lego starwars 75314 bad batch attack shuttle 16

lego starwars 75314 bad batch attack shuttle 18

In the end, I would have gladly contented myself with a simple Battle Pack with all five characters and possibly a BARC Speeder. The ship is far from living up to the version seen on the screen, although the youngest will undoubtedly be able to have a little fun with it.

At 70 € the box, I would necessarily be a little more indulgent on the finish, but at 110 €, the wings and the dorsal fin which are only "finished" on one side and the canopy with a little coarse pad printing does not. not pass. As it stands, it feels almost ten years back at LEGO.
