LEGO BrickHeadz Pets 2021 40442 Goldfish and 40443 Budgie

If you like LEGO BrickHeadz minifigures and more specifically those that reproduce pets, here are two new references that will be released on March 1: sets 40442 Goldfish (186coins - 14.99 €) and 40443 Budgie (261coins - € 14.99).

On the one hand, it will be necessary to assemble a goldfish and its "fry" (it is written on the box), on the other it will be a question of building a parakeet and its chick.

These two boxes join the other sets already on sale which feature pets, the references 40440 German Shepherd (14.99 €) and 40441 Shorthair Cats (€ 14.99), using the principle of the adult accompanied by a younger animal and the presentation base dressed with a sticker to choose from among the two stickers included in the box.

Note: the products are online on Malaysian version from the official store.

lego starwars magazine february 2021 mandalorian minifigure

Two new official LEGO magazines are currently on newsstands with on one side the LEGO Star Wars version accompanied by a Mandalorian minifig already seen in the LEGO Star Wars set 75267 Mandalorian Battle Pack (14.99 €) marketed since 2019 and on the other hand the LEGO Marvel Avengers version which allows you to obtain a minifig of Venom already seen in the sets in the sets 76115 Spider Mech vs. Venom (€ 54.99), 76150 Spiderjet vs. Venom Mech (€ 39.99), 76151 Venomosaurus Ambush (79.99 €) and which will also be provided in the set 76175 Attack on the Spider Lair (84.99 €) from March 1st.

It's up to you to see if these two minifigs deserve to spend respectively 5.99 € for the Mandalorian and 6.50 € for Venom or if it is better to invest in one of the references already marketed which allow to obtain these two characters.

Through the pages of these two new magazines, we discover the products that will be offered with the next issues and I have scanned the visuals concerned: the Emperor Palpatine will be available with the LEGO Star Wars magazine from March 10, 2021 and Thor will accompany the new issue of the LEGO Marvel Avengers magazine starting May 5, 2021.

Rey Palpatine's grandfather's minifig with its angular hood will obviously not be new or exclusive, it is the one in the set 75291 Death Star Final Duel (109.99 €). It will be delivered with the red saber with golden handle also seen in this box.

Thor's minifigure is quite common, it is the one seen in the sets 76142 Avengers Speeder Bike Attack (24.99 €) and 76153 Helicarrier (129.99 €), it will be accompanied by Mjolnir.

LEGO Marvel Spider-Man 76175 Attack on the Spider Lair

Today we are interested in the LEGO Marvel Spider-Man set 76175 Attack on the Spider Lair, a box of 466 pieces which will be sold at the public price of 84.99 € from March 1st.

The contents of the box allow us to assemble a Batcave-like playset which also pays homage to Tony Stark's lab and which therefore becomes here a Spider-Cave, with a linear construction which gathers around a central command post some spaces to display outfits, lock up a super villain, play basketball or skateboard.

For those who are wondering where this crazy idea of a Spider-Cave came from, know that we find one in the animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and the LEGO version takes at least the principle of the screen wall and alcoves in which the different outfits are displayed. Those who would like to DIY a Hall of Spider Suits to store their multiple versions there will only have to reproduce several copies of the spaces provided, there is nothing very complicated.

The Spider-Cave isn't just a lair for superheroes busy saving the world, you can also relax with a skateboard ramp and a basketball hoop. The basket may also seem like it came out of nowhere if you only buy products from the Star Wars or Super Heroes ranges, but it is actually a very common part since 2013 in the LEGO Friends range. It is possible to try to put a few baskets using the catapult and the two balloons provided, it is easy, the diameter of the basket being much larger than that of the balloons.

LEGO Marvel Spider-Man 76175 Attack on the Spider Lair

It's no longer a secret since the official announcement of the product, this box also has a very close link with video games Marvel's Spider-Man et Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales available on PS4 and PS5, link materialized here by the presence of a game console with a game launched on one of the screens and a controller. LEGO also explicitly mentions that it is a Playstation console in the official product description.

The screens are transparent and the stickers that take place on each piece too. Don't ask me why, everyone seems to think it's cool even though I wonder how you can use a transparent screen without being disturbed by what's behind it. Beware of fingerprints when placing the stickers, for example use the tip of a knife when applying to prevent your fingerprints from getting stuck between the part and the sticker.

The designer saw fit to add two colored cones and a big logo to the center of the playset. I find that these attributes reinforce the "circus" side of the whole and I think we could have done without these rather crude decorations. For the rest, we feel that the young Peter Parker is a big fan of Tony Stark and we find an arrangement of the places a little inspired by that of the lab of the set 76125 Iron Man Hall of Armor with a central island which here accommodates the usual red motorcycle.

LEGO Marvel Spider-Man 76175 Attack on the Spider Lair

LEGO Marvel Spider-Man 76175 Attack on the Spider Lair

We're not going to lie to each other, this Spider-Cave isn't very appealing to a collector and it will only amuse the youngest. It will also have to be really tinkered with to make an acceptable exhibition medium. Fortunately, the minifig endowment saves the furniture a bit with Spider-Man, the Green Goblin, Venom, Iron Spider, the outfit "Stealth Big Time"and the outfit"Homemade ".

Three of the six minifigs provided are far from new or exclusive to this set: The Spider-Man minifig with his pad-printed arms is the one available in the sets 76172 Spider-Man and Sandman Showdown (€9.99), 76173 Spider-Man and Ghost Rider vs. Carnage (19.99 €) and 76174 Spider-Man's Monster Truck vs. Mysterio (49.99 €), and this box is therefore not the cheapest for those who only want this version of the character.

If you feel like you've seen the Iron Spider outfit somewhere before, it's in the set. 76151 Venomosaurus Ambush marketed since last year. Here it comes with a variant of the back pack and it's up to you whether you prefer the claws from set 76151 or these.

The minifig of Venom for its part gradually becomes a chestnut tree from the LEGO Spider-Man range over the sets, it is here identical to those seen in the sets 76115 Spider Mech vs. Venom, 76150 Spiderjet vs. Venom Mech et 76151 Venomosaurus Ambush.

LEGO Marvel Spider-Man 76175 Attack on the Spider Lair

It is therefore necessary to turn to the three other characters present in this set to obtain new versions or variants. The clothe "Homemade " of Peter Parker with his hooded vest is new even if the head and the cap were already in the set 76129 Hydro-Man Attack in 2019. LEGO is providing hair for the character, which is nice.

Green Goblin is delivered here in a brand new variant, a little less cartoonish than the ones we've been able to collect so far. The pad printing extends over the legs and it is in my opinion frankly successful. The machine supplied with the character does not escape the usual clichés with a large sticker on the front face.
Finally, the outfit "Stealth Big Time"shown by LEGO on the set packaging as a version"Ultimate Spider-Man"is inspired by the level 23 unlockable version of the video game Marvel's Spider-Man which itself is only a reproduction of the outfit seen in the comic Amazing Spider-Man # 650 published in 2011. The pad printing is also very successful here with a green pattern which circulates to the thighs and which is repeated at the end of the feet as on the version seen in the game. It is in my opinion THE minifigure which justifies the acquisition of this box .

In short, all for that. You have to pay 85 € to afford a playset undoubtedly fun for the youngest but not really inspired and a big handful of minifigs, half of which are far from new. It's up to you, but I think you have to wait wisely until the box is in clearance at around 50 or 60 € somewhere before you crack.

Note: The set presented here, provided by LEGO, is as usual involved. Deadline fixed at March 2, 2021 next at 23pm. "The" I try, I participate "are automatically deleted, make an effort.

LEGO Ninjago 71748 Catamaran Sea Battle

Without transition, today we take a quick look at one of the five new boxes in the Ninjago range that will be available from March 1: the reference 71748 Sea Battle Catamaran (780coins - € 74.99).

The last trailer dated the special episode "The unknown island" had allowed us to see the contents of this box in action and there is something here to have fun with two floating craft accompanied by six characters. You already know that the LEGO Ninjago range is not one of the ones I particularly like or collect, but LEGO kindly offered me to take a tour of the novelties of March 2021 and so it was the opportunity for me to return to a world that my children put aside for a few years after having accumulated many boxes in their toy boxes.

The set offers plenty of fun without having to go back to the cash register and that's already great news. The contents of the box invite to embark on a nautical pursuit between nice ninjas and colorful villains under the orders of Chief Mammatus. The two catamarans are quickly assembled but they seem to me sufficiently detailed to mark on the one hand the techno-futuristic aspect of the machines usually piloted by the young ninjas and on the other the tribal / artisanal side of the boat of the villains of the season to come.

The functions integrated into the two machines are limited: that of Kai can vaguely deploy to go into attack mode while that of the "Guardians" has two detachable side modules to vary the situations and a retractable jaw which allows to ram the enemy machine.

The two boats are also equipped with coin-throwing devices: two Stud Shooters on one of the floats and two Spring-shooters on the central structure for the Chief Mammatus catamaran and two Spring-Shooters for that of Kai. The wicked catamaran also has a cell to lock up a young ninja by folding the bones onto the figurine. Nothing crazy, but that's always taken for those who want to have a little fun.

Each of the two boats is equipped with a fabric sail which in my opinion will have a little trouble withstanding the onslaught of the younger ones. the accessory creases, tears and gets dirty easily and I would have preferred a washable and stronger flexible plastic sail. The impressions on these two sails are very successful, and their presence really gives volume and presence to the two boats.

There are a few stickers to stick on to dress the two machines and the youngest will probably have to get help to put those which decorate the curved nose of the Guardians catamaran. The other stickers are easier to stick and the two boats also benefit from these nice graphic details.

The assortment in minifigs is very balanced here and the tribe of the "Guardians" is really very successful with high-level pad printing and accessories with exemplary finish. The level of detail on the torso, legs, mask and shield is impressive and flawless.

Le Thunder keeper and Rumble keeper use identical torsos and legs, but the heads are unique. We find all the members of the colorful tribe in other sets of the range, they are not exclusive to this box which is however the only one to bring together the three figurines.

As for the young ninjas, the three characters delivered in this box, Jay, Kai and Zane are in an "Island" version and LEGO does not skimp on the pad printing. They set off in search of Misako, Wu and Clutch Powers, all three missing on the Unknown Island, and their outfits are logically embellished with tactical equipment.

In short, the LEGO Ninjago range rarely rests on its laurels and designers generally know how to maintain the interest of long-time fans by offering ever more original products. This box offers a rather successful content which should appeal to both those who are new to this universe and those who are faithful to this range since 2011. It's original, it's playable and the minifigs are really successful. What more could you ask for apart from perhaps a more contained price?
