He will not have waited for the release of the film The Dark Knight Rises to offer its own version of the Tumbler in camouflage mode and equipped with a retractable rocket launcher.
This is not the classic Tumbler but a widely modified version that we are offering today _Tile. Despite everything, the cockpit can accommodate a minifig, as on its previous model (You can also download the instructions in pdf format).
By the way, since LEGO unveiled a Bane minifig in TDKR version, are we going to be entitled to a set including the Tumbler?
I am obviously joking with this title which does not pay tribute to the gift that has just given us _Tile with the instructions of his Tumbler.
Throughout this post, I never stopped praising _Tiler for his impeccable work, and you will now be able to reproduce this MOC, inspired by the work of ZetoVince (whose instructions you will find on this post), but improved in particular as regards the solidity of the machine.
You can download the instructions I compiled for you in pdf format here: Custom Tumbler - _Tiler (13.5 MB)
If you are not (yet) familiar with the work of _Tiler have a look his flickr gallery, and take the opportunity to thank him if like me you were waiting for these instructions. It will undoubtedly please him ...
I specify that the pdf file was posted here with his agreement.
And that's just when you were starting to tell yourself that Calin Bors (alias _Tiler on flickr) was going to be confined to producing mini-mobiles that this one brings out an incredible BatWing ...
Do not get carried away immediately, the machine is not in full flight, the support has obviously been erased in Photoshop. But admit that the mini-scale can still surprise us with this exceptional level of detail ...
Come on, now let's secretly hope for a mini Quinjet ...
You already know if you follow this blog, I am an absolute fan of the work of _Tile. The advantage with him is that you are always pleasantly surprised and never disappointed by his creations.
After his mini BatRod, it adapts a version that can accommodate a minifig (no I would not say minifig-scale, in order not to fuel the debate ...) and the machine as the photo are quite simply exceptional. The few touches of chrome are welcome, the reflections are magnificent and suddenly I want to emphasize an important point: The best MOCs will have a dirty head if the visible parts that compose it are dirty or too scratched, think about it before take your photos ...
I never tire of it: Each _Tiler creation is a model of perfection in terms of both design and presentation: the pieces shine, the photography is excellent and the production flawless. This machine is largely inspired byanother of his creations visible on flickr here.
The use of the batarangs at the rear of the vehicle is really original and the pair of chrome binoculars adds a vintage touch to the machine. _Tiler's flickr gallery can be found at this address.
