Usually, I'm not really a fan of creations made with LDD [ LEGO Digital Designer ], although I don't question the creativity of some virtual MOCers.
Graaf Pieter alias Hollander offers a truly successful virtual version of the Y-Wing. Composed of more than 1500 parts, the machine is very detailed and Hollander admits spending nearly 12 hours there.
Either way, here's a great example of using LEGO 3D modeling software that you can take inspiration from if you feel like it. Personally, I have never managed to produce much under LDD ....
