LEGO today announces the permanent withdrawal of the software LEGO Digital Designer (LDD) from January 31, 2022 and designates in passing Bricklink Studio as the one and only official design and modeling software solution.
Concretely, the LEGO Digital Designer software, available since 2004, will no longer be downloadable as of January 31, but the versions already installed will obviously continue to function. The in-house solution will no longer be updated, Bricklink Studio for its part allows the import of .LXF files and compatibility with this format will be maintained.
Visitors who come across the address leading to the LDD solution download area by chance will be automatically redirected to Bricklink Studio which will therefore become the only official solution. To learn more about the transition between the two programs, you can consult the FAQ available at this address.
