LEGO today unveils the set 71044 Disney Train and Station (2925 pieces - 329.99 €), a large box that allows you to assemble a station in the spirit of those found in some of the Disney theme parks and a train that is also immediately recognizable if you have already set foot in one of these parks.
The big bonus of the set which will perhaps make moan some collectors of Disney minifigs who would gladly do without the train and the station: The five characters provided including Mickey, Minnie, Tic and Tac in new variants and Goofy (Goofy) which is for the moment exclusive to this box.
The train is motorized via a Smart Hub Powered Up hidden in the coal wagon and the whole can be controlled via the dedicated application available under IOS and Android or using a remote control (ref. 88010) not provided.
LEGO provides plenty of fun with an oval track made up of 16 curved rails and 4 straight sections.
Availability expected in VIP preview on the LEGO Shop and in the LEGO Stores for August 21, global availability announced for September 1, 2019.

Kids will love meeting Disney characters Mickey Mouse, Minnie, Tic, Tac and Goofy and experiencing magical adventures with this awesome LEGO train. The model features a motorized reproduction of a steam locomotive with its tender, a passenger car and a luxurious lounge car, as well as an oval track circuit and a station built in the iconic Disney park style. This bundle contains many exciting details, including advanced features that can be controlled through an app. Controlled from a smartphone or tablet, the locomotive can move forward, backward and emit realistic sounds. The cars assemble easily with magnetic LEGO couplings, and the saloon car panels open to access a detailed interior containing a table, chairs, teapot and mug. But the game does not end there! The interior of the station is full of lots of delicate furnishings and details, such as draped windows, a wall clock, a chandelier, and a tower with a room containing a little LEGO surprise!
