75936 Jurassic Park T. rex Rampage

LEGO officially unveils the set today 75936 Jurassic Park: T. rex Rampage (3120 pieces - 249.99 €), a big box which will have the heavy task of satisfying the fans of the Jurassic Park franchise who hoped to be able to add a few sets paying homage to the first films in their collections.

The and 75932 Jurassic Park Velociraptor Chase (2018) gave them hope, but I'm not sure this mash-up a few more or less cult scenes inserted with forceps in the uprights of the park gate and the T-rex to be built are sufficient.

The plate with its sticker strangely stamped with the Jurassic World logo and embellished with a few facts on the T-rex was in my opinion not essential here but for some it will give a collector side to the product ...

Too bad that the stickers indicating PARK on the door have a problem with the spacing of the letters and we will especially note the absence of a vehicle in the colors of the park (Ford Explorer or Jeep Wrangler) which really deserved to be delivered in this big box of 3120 pieces. The LEGO Ideas project by Senteosan, acclaimed by fans but rejected by LEGO in 2015, had the merit of integrating a vehicle ...

On the minifig side, the most observant will have noticed that John Hammond and Alan Grant both wear the same hat, LEGO did not even bother to add a dark band on Grant's headgear to remain faithful to film props.

The Ian Malcolm figurine is here a variant of the minifigure delivered in the exclusive pack (ref. Lego 5005255) marketed / offered at the end of last year. Good news for Samuel L. Jackson fans, Ray Arnold is in the box. Dennis Nedry at least has the merit of being in this set even if I find the minifigure not very similar.
