This is the paradox of simplified programming, the use of visual icons should in principle make it accessible to the youngest but the profusion of these sometimes cryptic icons complicates the handling of the tools concerned.
This is the case with the set LEGO Boost 17101 Creative Toolbox which incorporates several hundred different icons, some of which are a little difficult to understand. The action they allow to perform is not always easy to deduce from the illustration displayed. The size of the icons also makes a large number of these illustrations difficult to differentiate from others which are similar.
If you don't want to spend your time trying out each of these icons to discover the movement or action it allows you to perform and try to memorize it, LEGO sends those who ask for a glossary of each. illustrations and description (in English) of what it can do.
In the long term, it is likely that LEGO will integrate this list somewhere in the app. In the meantime, you can download the available 44-page PDF file at this address or by clicking on the image below.
By the way, if you're tempted by a foray into the LEGO Boost universe but don't want to leave your shirt there, know thatamazon is currently selling the 17101 Creative Toolbox set for 109.99 € instead of 159.99 € ...
