Today we are talking about the first set of the LEGO Boost ecosystem with the pre-order of the reference 17101 Creative Toolbox. The product is online on the French version of the official LEGO store.
To remember for all those who plan to acquire this product: It is imperative to have an iOS or Android tablet and to download a free dedicated application to program the smart brick provided, the Move hub.
We will find in the box the new connectors Power Functions already used in the kit LEGO Education WeDo 2.0.
Availability announced for August 1st. Public price for France 159.99 €.
We will quickly talk about this set here, just to make you want (or not) to acquire it. For my part, I already have a potential young fan at home who looks forward to being able to exploit all the interactivity promised by LEGO.
Combine the versatile LEGO® building system with advanced technology to spark your creativity with the exciting LEGO BOOST Creative Toolkit. Download the free tablet app and follow the step-by-step instructions to build and program one of the 5 multifunction models. Discover Vernie the robot, a robot who moves and speaks; the MTR4 (Multi-Tooled Rover 4), a robust and versatile multi-vehicle with 4 different tools, including a spring loaded starter; the Guitar4000, a musical instrument with variations of tones and sound effects; Frankie the Cat, an interactive animal that plays, purrs and expresses its mood; or the AutoBuilder, an automated production line that actually builds miniature LEGO models! Bring your designs to life with the app's intuitive, icon-based programming interface, and perform a host of exciting activities designed for each model. This set also includes a play mat to use with specific activities and a LEGO BOOST wall poster! Please visit LEGO.com/devicecheck for a list of all compatible devices.
