It's a long-term project that I have already told you about here that is finally on the way to completion and today I have some visuals to show you. Some of you have also actively participated in its realization by lending their plastic dinosaurs during the shooting.
LEGO Dino is a 100% original and French creation and it is therefore not yet another translation of an English book released two years ago. At the origins of the project, a meeting between enthusiasts of photography, LEGO, dinosaurs, publishing and beautiful books.
On the one hand Florent Goussard, a fan of dinosaurs in his early years, who has since become a paleontologist at the Museum of Natural History in Paris, and on the other Aurélien "Shobrick" Mathieu, director and photographer well known to fans of LEGO for his work. Supported by a whole team of creatives (designer, model maker, editor, etc.), these two specialists in their respective disciplines put all their know-how at the service of this original project.
Do not be influenced by the playful dimension of this book with its LEGO minifigures and its original layout, its content is the fruit of a long work of writing and checking the accuracy of the statements that are gathered in its pages.
The result is impressive. Designed like an adventurer's notebook bringing together notes, photos and sketches, this 144-page book is both a high-level educational medium and an album of exceptional visual creations that must find its place in the little one's room. last, in the library of LEGO fans and on the living room table while waiting for the theatrical release Jurassic World The Fallen Kingdom.
The publisher has not forgotten the fans of LEGO and photography who want to know more about the techniques used to produce the illustrations of the book: a making-of of a few pages will reveal the entire creative process that led to this result.
144 pages, a format of 31 x 23.5 cm identical to that of the book Lego space and a public price of 29 €. I am told that the book is currently in printing, that it is pre-order from amazon and that it will be on sale very soon in all good bookstores. I look forward.
