LEGO finally officially announces the LEGO Ideas set 21313 Ship in a Bottle, and old sea dogs will therefore be able to exhibit this bottle and its base on the chest of drawers in the living room from February 1st. No early access for members of the VIP program.
Du initial project by Jake Sadovich, so only the idea remains. LEGO has changed the shape of the bottle, the ship has been scaled down to micro size, and the plinth has really been improved. If you want to have the set autographed, I think it would be better to try to get the signature of the LEGO designer who has taken everything from the beginning rather than that of the one who submitted his idea on the LEGO Ideas platform ...
Below, some official visuals followed by the description of the contents of this set of 962 pieces. Public price for France: 69.99 €.
The set is now online on the official LEGO store.
21313 LEGO Ideas: Ship in a Bottle US $ 69.99 - CA $ 89.99 - DE 69.99 € - UK £ 69.99 - DK 599.00 DKK Continue deep-sea traditions by building this Bottle Ship from the LEGO® Ideas Collection, an ultra-detailed ship that features captain's quarters, cannons, masts, crow's nest and printed sails. Place the ship inside the bottle made of LEGO bricks with a buildable cap, wax seal, and water elements. Then display your model on its stand, adorned with a plaque indicating the name of the ship (the "Leviathan"), an integrated compass (dummy) including a compass rose and a rotating needle, as well as elements representing the terrestrial globe. This building toy also includes a booklet about the LEGO fan and designers who created this fantastic old-fashioned set.

Let's go for a little teasing around the LEGO Ideas set 21313 Ship in a Bottle that almost everyone has seen and which should be marketed at the beginning of February.
More interesting (or not), the list below of the seven projects qualified for the next phase of review. Nothing very exciting in this list, three of the projects in the running are those of the creator of the model of the set. 21310 Old Fishing Store. I find it hard to see LEGO getting the hang of it and marketing a second set on the same theme in the LEGO Ideas range.
On the other hand, the interest in the creations of RobenAnne seems more than obvious and there is material to supply a whole range of buildings ...
For the rest, I think the Pop-Up Book really has a chance to pass, the principle is original and a version reworked by LEGO would probably find its audience ...
The LEGO Ideas concept will never have lived up to its name so well: a first visual of the set 21313 Ship in a Bottle is currently circulating and we see that LEGO has finally kept only the original idea from from the initial project of Jake Sadovich (above).
The shape and size of the bottle change significantly, we go from a large bottle of rum to a more compact and cubic bottle of whiskey, the boat it contains is therefore summarized in a little micro-thing. coarse, the support and the cap have been largely redesigned for more opulent (and more successful) versions.
LEGO kept the idea of round pieces Trans Blue thrown at the bottom of the bottle to symbolize water and the end result is quite nice even if I don't see myself exhibiting the thing in my living room ...
Availability expected for mid-January 2018.

The next set of the LEGO Ideas range has just been announced and it will be the Tron Legacy Light Cycle, a project of BrickBros UK based on the movie Tron: Legacy released in 2010 with Jeff Bridges.
As it is, I am not very enthusiastic. It's nice but nothing more. The film, sequel to Tron released in 1982, did not leave me with lasting memories. We'll have to wait and see what LEGO will do with this model for me to make a final decision.
All the other projects that were in the same review cycle go by the wayside.
Too bad for the Power Rangers, I really wish I could add these minifigs to my collection ...
After the first visuals, which resulted from the early sale of this box, whose online release ruined the planned teasing plans, LEGO finally decided not to wait any longer to officially unveil the LEGO Ideas 21312 Women of set. NASA.
This is the opportunity to take a closer look at the contents of this box of 231 pieces, the official retail price of which is advertised at € 29.99 in France. The set will be available from November 1st on the LEGO Shop and in the LEGO Stores.
Regarding the noted absence of Katherine G. Johnson, yet present in the initial LEGO Ideas project, alongside Nancy Grace Roman, Margaret Hamilton, Sally Ride and Mae Jemison, the manufacturer is satisfied with the following statement which confirms without specifying the context that the mathematician could not be included in this set: "... In order for us to move forward with a partner we need to obtain approval from all key people, which was not possible in this case. We naturally fully respect this decision ...".
Below is the official visual gallery with close-ups of the mini-builds and minifigs provided, followed by the set description.
Zooming in on the different models, it seems to me that the patterned pieces are all pad printed. To be checked when the set becomes available.
Explore the professions of many of these exceptional women in science, technology, engineering and math with the LEGO® Ideas Women of NASA set. It includes the minifigures of the 4 pioneering women of NASA: astronaut and educator, Nancy Grace Roman, computer specialist and entrepreneur Margaret Hamilton, astronaut, physicist and entrepreneur Sally Ride and finally astronaut, doctor and engineer Mae Jemison , as well as three constructions illustrating their areas of expertise. Have fun role-playing space exploration, from takeoff to moon landings, starting with the iconic Massachusetts Institute of Technology where, in 1969, the Hamilton team developed software. Build the Hubble Telescope and launch a LEGO version of the Challenger Space Shuttle with 3 detachable rocket stages. The set also includes a booklet on the 4 women of NASA, the "fan creator" and the LEGO designers of this beautiful set.
