This is the idea of the moment that LEGO wants to test with fans via its LEGO Lab platform before possibly considering putting it into practice: A fusion between the Mindstorms universe and the Technic range which would perhaps one day give rise to the set (for the moment fictitious) LEGO Mindstorms 515153 Porsche 911.
On paper, the idea of adding a little fun to a universe that by default is content with a few robots capable of performing preprogrammed actions is interesting. The vehicle presented via the (awkwardly) edited visuals of the set 42096 Porsche 911 RSR would potentially be equipped with the new Smart Hub which will be delivered from October 15 in the set 51515 Inventor Robot (359.99 €), four motors, a distance and obstacle detection sensor, a color sensor and a lithium-ion battery rechargeable via USB port.
In short, this is the list to Santa Claus in terms of features and possibilities with this product that would give a real boost to a playful boost to a range primarily intended for education.
If you click on the "I want it"posted on the presentation page of this idea, you will be referred to a form allowing you to give your opinion on this potential product. A competition is organized but it is reserved for residents of the United Kingdom.
LEGO takes the opportunity to clarify the fictitious nature of this box which could perhaps one day end up on the shelves of LEGO Stores:
Unfortunately the LEGO® MINDSTORMS Porsche is not yet available for sale, but we are working hard to make it a reality in the near future. |
