The LEGO Marvel Avengers panel that just wrapped up at Comic Con in San Diego doesn't tell us much more than what we already know about this video game due out in January 2016.
However, it's worth noting the confirmed presence of over 100 new characters, including some second-tier superheroes, among them Wiccan (Young Avengers), Miss America Chavez (A-Force), Crossbones, Detroit Steel, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel, Jane Foster (Thor), Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel, and Sam "Captain America" Wilson, who will join the inevitable Avengers along with the full cast of the film Avengers: Age of Ultron (Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, Vision, etc.) , the ever-present Stan Lee who becomes playable in addition to his usual cameos , and a whole host of armors for Iron Man (Silver Centurion, Mark 43, Hulkbuster, etc.).
Iron Man will be able to choose his armor via the heads-up display integrated into his helmet, and Stan Lee will even have " Iron Stan" and " Stanbuster" versions ...
The gameplay mechanics will benefit from some improvements, including the ability to team up two characters to act as a duo. Villains will be playable, the game engine has been improved, numerous side missions have been added, and in short, it's still a classic LEGO game with a healthy dose of fan service.
I would like to remind you that the game will have a special edition accompanied by an exclusive Iron Man minifigure in Silver Centurion version.
