In a press release posted on the LEGO Ambassador Network (LAN), LEGO today unveils some information on the future of the LEGO Ninjago animated series including the new season entitled "Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu'"will be released shortly.
In short, the length of each episode goes from 22 to 11 minutes and this new season will be accessible even for those who have never watched the series so far (children who were too young a few years ago) with 30 episodes strewn with flashbacks and references to the events of previous seasons (it's not a fast-track reboot, but a bit anyway). First trailer announced for May 26th.
The press release below does not specify the broadcast channel for these new episodes and does not mention any particular channel. In my opinion, it is not impossible for the series to quietly end its days directly on Youtube ...
It seems to me from this announcement that it is therefore above all a question of recruiting a new audience for the series without disappointing those who continue to follow the adventures of the young ninjas:
NINJAGO: 'March of the Oni' marks the conclusion to an epic storyline which started in 2018. After a little vacation-time, it's time for the ninja to get ready for a brand-new adventure! The upcoming TV season will have 30 episodes of 11 minutes each, making it the ninjas' biggest adventure yet. The season picks up shortly after 'March of the Oni' and remains true to the story canon and the characters. We hope you are ready to join us and the ninja as they embark on their next great adventure. Stay tuned for the official 'NINJAGO: Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu' season teaser which will be released on May 26th. |
We now know the exclusive minifig that will accompany the new version of the Visual Dictionary LEGO Ninjago: This is Sensei Wu in his younger years.
This 128-page book, which is an updated version of the previous edition published in 2014, will be available next September at amazon.
In 2014, it was Zane's minifigure in version Rebooted that came with the first edition of Visual Dictionary. It was not then exclusive to the work and the publisher indicated that it was simply a Limited Edition. It could indeed be found in a set released the same year (70726 Destructoid).
This new minifigure is well presented as exclusive, so it should not end up in any of the future sets in the LEGO Ninjago range.
Inside this book you will find as usual a recap of what the LEGO Ninjago range offers with facts and anecdotes, interviews with designers, etc ...
No French version in sight for the moment.
Forward for a series of official visuals of the LEGO Ninjago novelties for the second half of 2019, uploaded by the Swiss brand My Spielzeug which announces availability for the end of May.
I have never been a good customer of the Ninjago range, but there are a few sets here like the references 70675 Katana 4x4 et 70677 Land Bounty which seem really interesting to me ... I am less attracted to temples, mechs or helicopters, but there is something for everyone.
Below is the list of sets concerned with their final titles, followed by a gallery of visuals. There are a few more images for each of these sets on the brand's website mentioned above or on my flickr gallery.

Notice to fans of the LEGO Ninjago range, the accessory pack (LEGO ref. 853866 - 36 pieces) containing three Onis demons and their respective weapons is now available on the LEGO Shop at the public price of 12.99 €.
This pack doesn't really make the variety with three identical torsos, at least two identical heads (probably three including the one under the mask if it's not all black) and neutral legs (including a pair of short legs).
These evil demons are those from season 10 of the TV series, titled March of the Oni:
New year, new polybags in sight with a slew of references whose assembly instructions are now available from LEGO.
It is difficult to know for the moment where, when and how these bags will be distributed or sold. We will have to wait a little longer to find out if it is possible to get some of them offered on the LEGO Shop and in the LEGO Stores.
As for the Ninjago range, three references are now known, all stamped with the mention Legacy which pays homage to the first seasons of the animated series and by extension to the sets marketed a few years ago: 30533 Sam-X, 30534 Ninja Workout et 30535 Fireflight.
In the LEGO CITY range, some references to products currently on sale or to come with the references 30362 Sky Police Jetpack, 30363 Race Boat et 30364 Popcorn Cart, to encourage young fans to spend their pocket money in more affluent boxes.
The popcorn machine will easily find its place in your funfair or amusement park dioramas and will advantageously complete the inventory of the highly anticipated set 60234 People Pack: Fairground...
Finally, some LEGO Creator polybags with three references: 30571 Pelicans, 30572 Race Car et 30573 saint. The bag bearing the reference 30571 is a 3in1 product which will also allow a bird and a rabbit to be assembled.
Special mention for the racing car in the bag bearing the reference 30572 which should bring back memories for fans of the LEGO Racers Tiny Turbos range (2006 -2008).
