To finish with the LEGO Star Wars set 75159 Death Star about which we have already talked a lot (too much) in recent weeks, LEGO is finally going there with its official announcement with detailed description and very high resolution visuals.
I cannot resist the pleasure of reproducing for you below the small pamphlet which accompanied the press release sent to the LUGs: LEGO confirms that this set is therefore an update of the previous version and insists in passing on the fact that the marketing of this "version 2016"of an existing set is not a clue in favor of possible future reissues of other sets ...
The LEGO® Star Wars™ Death Star ™ was a huge hit with fans when it launched in 2008 and we are excited to announce that we have made some awesome updates and improvements to this huge model! Our designers added over 200 bricks and elements as well 3 new minifigures. This 2016 version offers a great building experience to both those fans who have the original set, and those who may be new to the LEGO® Star Wars™ universe. This is not an indication of any future re-release or set updates. |
It should be noted that LEGO is careful not to mention that the public price has also undergone a significant improvement: we go from € 432.99, the last price charged on set 10188, to € 499.99 for this new reference which ultimately only contains 200 pieces. moreover, an increase of 15%.
Below, the full description of this box, followed by the gallery of official visuals:
75159 Death Star Replay spectacular scenes from the Star Wars saga with the Empire's ultimate weapon to destroy the planets: the Death Star! With over 4000 parts, this awesome model has a galaxy of elaborate and authentic environments, including a superlaser control room, an imperial conference room, a hangar with a launch pad, and Lord Vader's TIE Advanced with room for Darth Vader inside, Emperor Palpatine's throne room, droid maintenance room, detention block, trash compactor, tractor beam, cargo area, turbolaser with guns with springs and seats for the 2 Death Star gunners and 2 mobile turbolaser towers. This spectacular set also includes 23 famous minifigures and 2 droids for hours of Star Wars combat.
