LEGO Star Wars 75244 Tantive IV: Everything You Need to Know

LEGO unveils the Star Wars LEGO set today 75244 Tantive IV (1768 pieces - 219.99 €), a box which finally takes over from the 2009 version (10198 Tantive IV - 1408 pieces - 149.99 €) with 360 additional pieces, the addition of the Bail Organa minifigure and an increased retail price.

Contrary to rumors circulating so far, this new set is therefore neither a UCS (Ultimate Collector Series) nor an MBS (Master Builder Series), it is quite simply a playset with a different design than the version marketed ten years ago.

Those who hoped for a 4000-piece model to replace the set Ultimate Collector Series of 2001 (10019 Rebel Blockade Runner) will have to wait again. I would point out all the same that the UCS of 2001 was anyway composed of only 1747 parts ...

The new version retains the width (19 cm) and height (14 cm) of the previous model from 2009 but the designers have lengthened the vessel by ten centimeters (62 cm against 52 cm). The machine becomes more slender and less clumsy than its predecessor.

On the minifig side, Bail Organa finally arrives in a minifig version, Raymus Antilles and Princess Leia are delivered here in new versions, the Rebel Fleet Trooper is the one seen in the set 75237 Tie Fighter Attack and the two droids are the ones you already have by handles in your collections.
