lego harry potter 76428 hagrid hut unexpected visit 1
While waiting to be able to tell you about the new features for the second half of 2024, today we quickly return to the content of the LEGO Harry Potter set 76428 Hagrid's Hut: An Unexpected Visit, a box of 896 pieces available since March 1 at the public price of €74.99.

The latest version of the construction shown here dates from 2019 with the set 75947 Hagrid's Hut Buckbeak's Rescue (496 pieces - €64.99) and LEGO is taking the very laudable initiative this year to offer us a cabin inspired by the film Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets closed on all its sides with the added bonus of the possibility of removing the roof and opening the construction to make an easily accessible playset. So we finally get the best of both worlds, even if we have to pay a price.

Nothing to say about the textural effects on the walls and roof even if some will find it all a little crude in places, it is consistent with the cabin seen on the screen. Even if the moss and grass are crudely interpreted here, the main attributes of the cabin in the film are there, it is perhaps lacking enough to raise it a little and add a few steps in front of the entrance but it is already very good Thus.

The roof is removable and it can be easily removed without breaking everything. Then simply unhook the two front half-sections and move them aside to open up the space which will serve as a play area for the youngest. In the opposite direction, the cabin will quickly be put away while waiting for other adventures, it's well designed.

The interior designs are successful without doing too much and leaving room to install a few figurines. Hagrid can sit in his armchair, there is something to sit on, some furniture including the shell of Norbert's egg is installed and some decorations are attached to the walls. This is enough for us to recognize the places. There are also four stickers to stick but nothing prohibitive.

In this box we obtain two of the fourteen collectible portraits which have been supplied with certain sets of the Harry Potter range since the beginning of the year, one of them serves as wall decoration and the other is stored in a cupboard . It's up to you to exchange them with your friends if you have any duplicates. Alongside the main construction, we also assemble the Crockdur doghouse. Nothing crazy, but it still makes for a truly complete diorama.

In terms of figurines, fans are rather well served here with Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, Draco Malfoy and Rubeus Hagrid. Two figurines complete the assortment: Crockdur and Norbert. Harry, Hermione, Ron and Hagrid are new in this form, Fangdur is finally entitled to his LEGO version and the update of Norbert's design is welcome.

LEGO is therefore making a good effort with this box which ticks all the boxes and which does not skimp on playability or casting. There remains the public price of this product, very high, which may make some fans hesitate. We can already find this box for a little cheaper elsewhere than at LEGO, with a little patience it will undoubtedly be possible to make some additional savings and this set will then be a convincing and accessible product.

lego starwars magazine may 2024 chewbacca minifigure

The May 2024 issue of the official LEGO Star Wars magazine is currently available on newsstands at the price of €6.99 and as expected it allows us to obtain a Chewbacca minifig like we all already have by the handful in our drawers.

In the pages of this new issue of the magazine, we discover the construction which will accompany the next publication announced for May 29, 2024: it is the N-1 Starfighter seen in the series The Mandalorian. Nothing earth-shattering despite the announced inventory of 50 pieces.

Finally, note that it is possible to subscribe for a period of six months or a year to the official LEGO Star Wars magazine via the abo-online.fr platform. The 12-month subscription (13 issues) costs € 76.50.

75382 lego starwars tie interceptor ucs 1

Today we're quickly talking about the contents of the LEGO Star Wars set Ultimate Collector Series 75382 TIE Interceptor, a box of 1931 pieces which is currently available at the public price of €229.99.

25th anniversary of the LEGO Star Wars range obliges, LEGO reinvents this ship seen during the 2000s in the set 7181 TIE Interceptor but the homage stops here to the subject treated as the 2024 version returns the previous one to the rank of a crude and approximate model which has aged very badly. This year, LEGO is offering a version which offers both more refinement and fidelity to the reference ship and the model will proudly sit on the shelves of the most dedicated fans. The wink that will perhaps please the fans: here we find the two shovels already used in 2000 in the central section of the wings.

The assembly is rather entertaining with an almost round central ball flanked by sub-assemblies which give it its final shape and a few stickers placed inside which will at least have the advantage of not being exposed to light and dust . The two large discs which adorn the central section of the vessel are pad printed, this was the bare minimum for a product stamped with the logo Ultimate Collector Series.

The four wings are quickly assembled, they are made up of several layers including a very colorful central slice which brings a little diversity and an outline which contributes to the finish of the model by very clearly highlighting the angles of each of the wings .

There are a lot of tenons visible on the external surface of the wings and not everyone will agree with this aesthetic choice, I am personally not shocked by the presence of so many tenons, they end up being forgotten and their presence in mass ensures very acceptable visual uniformity.

Difficult to talk about the repetitiveness of the assembly sequences here, it is the subject which requires assembling the same wing sections or the panels which cover the central ball twice.

We could also discuss the massive appearance of the central ball and the two arms on which we attach the wings, I think the designer is doing quite well and the whole thing works visually if we don't get too close. of the model.

Closer, there are still some spaces that are a little empty in places but the level of detail more than compensates for these aesthetic approximations and I prefer a solid model which does not bend under its own weight even if it means sacrificing a little the finesse of certain appendages.

The compromise seems to me to be very well struck here, the branches which extend from the cockpit are massive but dressed to make them visually "lighter" than what they really are with their internal section based on Technic beams.

This TIE Interceptor is installed on its presentation support as soon as the central section is assembled, it is well seen and very practical to then be able to add the wings without having to grab the construction from the cockpit at the risk of seeing some elements come loose.

The support is simple, it ensures optimal stability for the model with an angle which allows it to be observed from all angles and the vessel is not fixed on the rod which is housed under the cockpit, allowing removal without effort of the TIE Interceptor to have a little fun with it.

The whole thing is impeccably rigid, you will however have to be careful during handling with some surface elements which risk coming off in places. This is the lot of most exhibition models, this TIE Interceptor is not a child's toy.

The display is flanked by the essential pad-printed plaque which provides some information about the ship, the now traditional and still identical brick celebrating the 25th anniversary of the LEGO Star Wars range, a Mouse Droid and a figurine, a pilot with the outfit already seen in other boxes but which is here equipped with pad-printed arms new for the moment.

If you only buy these products for the exclusive minifigs they contain, do not bet too much on the exclusive nature of some of them, the following know we are never really safe from seeing them again later in other much less expensive sets. This will for example be the case this year with the Captain Rex minifig which was until now exclusive to the LEGO Star Wars set 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser (€649.99) and which is found this year in a box at €13.

This TIE Interceptor in 2024 version is undoubtedly not the most flamboyant product in the range Ultimate Collector Series but it was time for LEGO to look at the subject again by taking advantage of the possibilities offered by the evolution of the inventory since the 2000s.

In my opinion, the contract is largely fulfilled with a result that meets what we have the right to expect in 2024 from the manufacturer, it is well executed even if the subject treated imposes a certain visual austerity. For the little story to tell during an evening with friends, we will remember that it is the same designer who is in charge of two versions of this ship at LEGO, Henrik Andersen.

Is it absolutely necessary to spend €230 for this model? Yes if you take advantage of the promotional offers currently in progress to get some gifts that are always welcome to help you pass the pill.

The product offers an assembly "experience" without any hassle or overly complex passages and the progression of the construction is very satisfactory even if one has the impression of arriving very or too quickly at the end of the instruction booklet. instructions. This TIE Interceptor will then easily find its place on a shelf alongside an X-wing also in Ultimate Collector Series.
