07/10/2011 - 00:07 Lego news

You had to look for them a bit in the depths of the internet, but they are there: Here are the first images of the LEGO Superheroes 2012 range from the DC Universe side. The sets present are therefore consistent with what had already been announced (See this article) a few months ago, then had been confirmed by the placing online and then the withdrawal of these references by the Barnes & Noble brand at the end of September (See this article).

Note that the launch of this series of sets is announced for the month of May 2012, that a LEGO Super Heroes video game is planned for the month of June, and that two series of cartoons entitled Green Lantern et Young Justice will be shown on TV.

The visuals below are versions ultra-preliminary and are clearly drawn.

6858 Batman vs. Catwoman : Not much to say, except that we will be entitled to a motorcycle for Catwoman, a motorcycle that also seems very strange and not very similar to the one seen in the shooting photos of the third part of the saga Batman The Dark Knight. It seems that LEGO has chosen to rely on comics, rather than movies.

6860

6860 Batcave : A set that has been talked about a lot and that was quickly known, being mentioned on the official page Lego superheroes as a prize for a competition. In view of the images, the Batcave seems honest even if we are far from the craziest MOCs. Largely of the level of the Star Wars set 7879 Hoth Echo Base released this summer (Interpret that however you want). We note the presence of Red Robin, so in a comic version.

6862

6862 Superman vs. Lex Luthor : Three minifigs, Superman, Wonder Woman and Lex Luthor, and a rather successful exoskeleton, here is a set that I like on the content.

6863

6863 Batman vs. The Joker : We are entitled to two flying machines which a priori are not really convincing, and two minifigs which will prevent you from paying a high price for them on Briclink. Playable, but not necessarily very attractive.

6864

6864 Batman vs Two-Face : A bank, two vehicles and five minifigs including Double Face in its comic version. The Batmobile has to be a preview, or else it will be hard to convince.
