The Technic 42056 Porsche 911 GT3 RS LEGO set had been talked about at the beginning of June for packaging issues that had been taken into account by the manufacturer: The very thick instruction booklet was the cause of damage to the boxes placed in the four corners of the packaging of this exceptional set.
It was at random from a discussion on Reddit that the new version of the packaging interior of the set is revealed and we discover the new positioning of the interior boxes. In the photo, we can see the cardboard inserts which prevent the boxes from being crushed during transport due to the movements of the instruction booklet which weighs 1.3 kg.
I put all this in the image below, using as a starting point the photo of the original box (on the left) uploaded by Brickset, which I modified to end up with the new version of the packaging (right).
All this to tell you that it now seems certain that LEGO has solved this problem.
LEGO also indicates on the LEGO Shop that the set is "out of stock"currently, with a shipping date scheduled for July 8. The following statement accompanies the whole:"...We are experiencing delays in the delivery of the Porsche and are doing everything possible to resolve this issue. As always, our designers have created a quality product and we want it delivered to you in good condition ...."
By the way, if you bought this set, which version did you receive?
