The minifig customization market has grown steadily in recent years, with more and more sellers of "customs" and a growing number of companies offering this type of service to businesses.

Why leave what can be done by yourself to others: LEGO is currently testing the Minifigure Factory in its official store in Copenhagen.

To believe facebook chats, this system currently only allows you to choose a visual from a predefined library and add a personalized inscription on the front face and on the back of the minifig's torso.

I could be wrong, but I don't have the impression that this is pad printing like the LEGO practice in its factories. It looks more like a digital printing process.

Each minifig is sold for 30DKK or about 4 euros and it is not yet known if this "factory with personalized minifigs" will one day be installed in other official stores.

Update: This is actually UV printing, a printer Roland VersaUV is integrated into the printing kiosk.
