MOC: SPARKART's BB-8 droid!

With the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, R2-D2 will see a strong competitor arrive in the "droid that we like because he makes funny things and weird noises": BB-8.

SPARKART! present on his flickr gallery its LEGO version of this new droid whose perfectly functional model developed by the company Orbotix (known to the general public for the product Sphero) was presented during Celebration VII. Orbotix is ​​also teasing for a consumer BB-8 which should be released soon on this page.

We'll be getting a BB-8 minifigure in one of the next sets in the movie-based LEGO Star Wars line-up, no doubt about that, but I can't wait to see how LEGO gets to successfully adapt this droid.
