LEGO has produced several X-wings in miniature scale: one version in sets 4484 X-Wing Fighter & TIE Advanced (2003) and 6963 X-Wing Fighter (Japanese Kabaya version from 2004, with the chewing gum), and another in set 30051 X-Wing Fighter (2010). While I have a soft spot for the official 2010 version, which I find quite well-executed, I really like the one created by Stardusty , a 14-year-old Croatian MOC builder, who made original use of certain pieces. This X-wing is perhaps not the most faithful to the original, but it has the merit of being visually coherent and ingenious.
Stardusty is also the creator of other beautiful MOCs, always visually appealing and refreshing, like this K2-OBSB Speeder Bike. Don't hesitate to visit his Flickr gallery ; it's full of inventive creations. This proves, at least, that talent isn't a quality reserved for the oldest or most hardcore AFOLs when it comes to MOCs...
