This is the announcement of the day: The LEGO Bionicle range, relaunched in 2015, will not survive this year 2016: It will be definitively discontinued at the end of the year. In the meantime, LEGO specifies that the novelties of the second half of the year will not be available in certain regions of the world.
LEGO obviously does not communicate on the reasons for the abandonment of this range, leaving the door open to all speculation: Some will probably see it as the consequence of a reboot which will not have on awakening the nostalgia of the fans of the first hour nor attracting the youngest customers of the mark.
LEGO does not fail in passing to emphasize in his press release that it is no longer useful to speculate on a possible new return of the range. It's finish. Forever.
Fans, today we have to share the news with you that we have made the tough decision to discontinue LEGO® BIONICLE® at the end of 2016. NETFLIX has just started streaming the final two episodes of “The Journey to One” the ending of which , will put an end to any speculation about the future of LEGO® BIONICLE®.
With the 2015 relaunch of LEGO® BIONICLE®, we set out to revive a childhood favorite of fans worldwide, and bring it to a new group of children who were too young to have known and played with LEGO® BIONICLE® Generation 1. From your wonderful feedback over the last year, we feel very proud to have performed that task. Currently, the last wave of LEGO® BIONICLE® products is launching in Europe and North America. These products will, however, not reach the shelves in Asia and the Pacific markets. |
Le Store Calendar US from September 2016 is online, and you can download it at this address.
I will spare you the promotions on Nexo Knights products planned for the re-entry in the United States, I believe that we have all understood that the LEGO policy on this subject is not the same on both sides of the Atlantic. We will therefore have to wait for the Store Calendar French September to find out what this return will be.
The only really interesting information contained in this document concerns the early sale for members of the VIP program of two exclusive sets from September 15 to 30, with global availability as of October 1.
So you have a month and a half left to try to guess which sets it is, knowing that the set 71040 The Disney Castle is not affected: It will go on sale for members of the VIP program from mid-August with global availability set for September 1st.
Speculation is rife with two candidates holding the rope: We are talking about the LEGO Star Wars 75159 UCS Death Star set and the 10254 Christmas Train set ...
In any case, with the sale of these two sets fast approaching, their respective official announcements should not be long ...
The three Advent calendars traditionally marketed by LEGO at the start of the school year are in pre-order at Amazon and this is the opportunity to discover the official visuals of these three references:

I've isolated above the minifigs that will be available in the LEGO Star Wars calendar to go along with the usual slew of micro-things, including the "Snowy chewbacca"which will join the other festive minifigs released so far: Yoda (2011), Darth Maul (2012), Jango Fett (2013), Darth Vader (2014) and Santa C-3PO & Reindeer R2-D2 (2015). On the side of micro-gadgets, mspecial ention for Slave I and Tantive IV which are quite successful.
Lego just unveiled on Facebook two new packs of four minifigs for the Minecraft range: These "Skin Packs"(or Skin packs) unpublished items bearing the references 853609 and 853610 will be available from September 1st on the LEGO Shop and in the LEGO Stores.
Two of the skins included in these packs were chosen by fans: The 3rd from the left on the visual above and the 4th from the left on the visual below.
The public price of these two packs has not been communicated.
LEGO takes advantage of the relative calm of the summer period to refresh the design of its official store, commonly known as Lego shop.
The new interface is first put online for a test phase on the Swiss version of the LEGO Shop before being rolled out to other countries within a few weeks.
On the menu, an overhaul of the product classification system, a "responsive" interface adapted to use on smartphones and tablets, a search engine more efficient than the one currently available, and many other improvements that should make life easier for fans and customers sometimes exasperated by the many bugs encountered on the current interface.
If you want to discover this new interface, go to at this address.
