NYCC 2018: No Sets Revealed, LEGO Spider-Man Short Film Announced

No big announcements from the LEGO side during New York Comic Con 2018, we have to be content with the presentation of a new animated short entitled LEGO Marvel Spider-Man: Vexed by Venom which will also serve as a barely disguised advertisement for the novelties expected in 2019.

Spider-Man will this time face Venom and the Green Goblin, two characters who will obviously also be in the cast of the new sets expected for early 2019 among which the references 76113 Spider-Man Bike Rescue with Spider-Man, Miles Morales and Carnage minifigs, 76133 Spider-Man Car Chase with Spider-Man and Green Goblin minifigs, 76134 Spider-Man: Doc Ock Diamond Heist with Spider-Man and Doc Ock minifigs (Doctor Octopus) or even 76115 Spider Mech vs. Venom (below) with Spider-Man and Venom minifigs accompanied by their respective mechs, Aunt May and Ghost Spider aka Spider Gwen.

We also know that a set with Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2099, Sandman (William Baker) and Vulture (Adrian Toomes) is on the program.

There is little chance that this new animated short will ever end up on DVD accompanied by an exclusive minifigure (or not), Marvel announces in fact, this is content that will be broadcast on the same channels as the previous short films, Maximum Overload, Avengers Reassembled, Guardians of the Galaxy: The Thanos Threat or again Black Panther: Trouble in Wakanda.
