White Tiger Ms Marvel Jewel

We are only a few days away from the release of the LEGO Marvel Avengers video game and the promo is growing with many visuals distilled by the game's publisher on social networks.

At the same time, the rumor of the presence of White Tiger in one of the second half of the LEGO Marvel sets is gaining ground and logically this minifigure should be identical to the version that will be playable in the LEGO Marvel Avengers video game, above left alongside Miss Marvel and Jewel.
Seen in the first three seasons of the Ultimate Spider-Man animated series, Ava Ayala aka White Tiger will allow us, if the rumor is confirmed, to complete the casting of the series in minifig format alongside Power Man, Nova, Iron Fist or Nick Fury.

LEGO Dimensions: The New Wave of Expansion Packs Is Here

Let's go for the third wave of expansion packs for the LEGO Dimensions video game with five references available today including one Level Pack (29.99 €), one Team Pack (24.99 €) and three Fun Packs (14.99 €).

Fans of the Ghostbusters universe who still have some spare budget after purchasing the set 75827 Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters can add to their minifig collection a "variation" of Bill Murray in the costume of Peter Venkman.

Let's see the bright side, thanks to this new expansion LEGO Dimensions 71228 which incidentally allows you to unlock an additional level in the game, the Ecto-1, here in micro format, will easily fit into the headquarters of the set 75827: No need to push the furniture to try to park the set there. Another eagerly awaited minifigure, that of Doc Brown delivered in the Fun pack LEGO Dimensions 71230 which will replace the one delivered in the set LEGO Ideas 21103 by a version more faithful to the look of the character embodied on the screen by Christopher Lloyd. Sometimes all it takes is a detail to keep fans happy.

Finally, fans of the Doctor Who universe who recently acquired the set LEGO Ideas 21304 will be able to add a Cyberman to their collection with the Fun pack LEGO Dimensions 71238.

Otherwise, two other packs are also available: One Team Pack DC Comics with The Joker and Harley Quinn (LEGO Dimensions 71229), and one Fun pack Ninjago with Sensei Wu (LEGO Dimensions 71234).

Small useful precision for the attention of all those who buy these packs but who do not intend to play LEGO Dimensions, the assembly instructions for the micro-gadgets present in the boxes are available on the official LEGO website.

The easiest way to recover the files you need is to go to the mini-site dedicated to the game and click on the pack that interests you. A small blue icon on the right under the presentation video of the pack in question will give you direct access to all the available PDF files.

Lego digital designer

It's not really the end but it still smells very strongly of the tree for the virtual creation tool offered by LEGO: Lego digital designer, better known to fans by the acronym LDD, will no longer be updated as stated by Kevin Hinkle, Community Manager at LEGO:

... A business decision has been made to no longer allocate resources towards the LDD program / initiative.

For now, the program will continue to be offered to anyone interested in utilizing it but please do not expect any updates regarding functionality, the adding of new LEGO elements or glitch fixes.

We have decided to pursue other digital experiences ...

Clearly, do not expect to see this software evolve through bug fixes, feature additions or an update of the available virtual inventory. Version 4.3 is probably the last and without any evolution of the parts catalog, this tool will quickly become obsolete.

In terms of virtual creation, you will now have to turn to existing alternative solutions such as ldraw, bricksmith, MecaBricks or even SR 3D Builder.

Gone are the days when you could let your children show a little creativity on the family computer with a tool accessible to the youngest to have a little peace at home ... The days of uninspiring LEGO Ideas projects. tinkered with in five minutes under LDD will be quickly too, and that is perhaps the only good news of the day.

Update of 21 / 01 / 2016 with catching up to the branches from LEGO trying to put out the fire:

... TLG will remain committed to digital building going forward, in regards to LDD, this means that we will continue to support the current functionality.

We will not be doing automatic updates on elements, however elements will continue to be added from time to time. Unfortunately we cannot ensure that all elements are made available ...
