It's still very calm at the end of the year and I think we must now wait for the next ones Toy Fair international London (from January 24 to 26, 2016), Nuremberg (from January 27 to February 1, 2016), and New York (February 13-16, 2016) to get some info on what's new in LEGO for the second half of 2016.
In the meantime, here are some toys below for boys, with the official visuals of the Speed Champions sets for the first half of 2016 (except set 75870):
|
And toys for girls with the visuals of the Elves sets also expected in 2016:
|
So as not to attract the wrath of certain lobbies, I would point out that if the boys want to play with the multicolored dragons and the mini-dolls, they can obviously do so.
Besides, if the girls want to complete their collection of American racing cars and supercars, they can do it too.
Let's see the bright side of things: With LEGO, we immediately know that in Billund we are not encumbered with considerations on sexism in the world of toys, a subject that comes up regularly, especially in times of holidays.
As far as I'm concerned, I'm more attracted to the Chevrolet Camaro from set 75874 than to the school of dragons, but hey, you know the adage: Tastes and colors, that is not debatable ...
After the never-before-seen 42-piece Millennium Falcon delivered with # 7 (January 2016), here is the exclusive gift that will come with # 8 (February 2016) of the official LEGO Star Wars magazine.
It is therefore Luke's Landspeeder, here in a new version. I have not found anything equivalent in the list of the different versions of this machine already on the market and the closest model remains that of the LEGO Star Wars Advent calendar released in 2014 (LEGO reference 75056).
For anyone who wants to have fun replicating the Millennium Falcon offered with issue 7 of the magazine, assembly instructions are below (Click on the image to view a large version)

Belgian friends, the sign Dreamland gives you the chance to win an exclusive Stormtrooper 80cm tall as well as your size in LEGO boxes.
To participate, all you have to do is guess the number of parts used to build the giant 1:10 scale model of the X-Wing (600 kilos, 700 hours of work) which is currently in the various stores of the brand. (Calendar at this address).
This competition without obligation to purchase is reserved for people residing in Belgium, there is only one Stromtrooper to win and one set of boxes per store (max. 350 € of sets even if you are 2.0 meters high). Deadline for participation: January 31, 2016 included.
The rules of the game are at this address, the participation form at this address.

Before the thing gets too big, I relay here this series of photos which is currently a mini-buzz among fans of LEGO on Facebook. Everyone goes there in the comments of their diatribe against LEGO "which destroys dozens of boxes instead of giving them to the needy or selling them with a substantial discount to AFOLs ..."
The problem is that we do not know if it is pure and simple destruction (I doubt it) or recycling (I think it is), if it is a stock of damaged products from a reseller's stock (probably) or from products seized by the customs services of an unidentified country (probably not), etc.
From the photos, we can see staff who seem to separate the cardboard boxes from the bags of parts, and that's it.
So, before you get carried away and join those who cry out to boycott the brand because it throws away its products instead of giving / selling / recycling them and those who, tear in their eyes, imagine all the little private children of LEGO who would be happy to unbox these boxes, even damaged, keep in mind that these photos have been uploaded on a facebook page without precise explanations of what they represent exactly and that the truth about these scenes of dismantling of LEGO sets is without doubt elsewhere.
While waiting to learn more, I put here some photos from the gallery in question for those who do not have a facebook account:
Just to convince you that this mini-range is worth a look, here are the official visuals of the six boxes of the LEGO Super Heroes Marvel & DC Comics Mighty Micros range.
If you plan to collect these small sets featuring iconic characters from the DC Comics and Marvel universes in "cartoon" mode accompanied by mini vehicles, don't miss this first wave which will be, if the concept hits the shelves, sooner or later probably followed by a second series.
If you have skipped these sets and LEGO decides to extend the concept, then you will be one of those desperate for these six sets to complete their collection ...
Note that the public price of these sets expected for March 2016 is set at 9.99 € and that the minifigs are all equipped with short legs of the "hobbit".
