01/01/2013 - 10:52 Lego news

Like every year, conventions and others "Toy Fairs"(Toy trade fairs) will be as many opportunities to discover the next LEGO novelties. Each event is not necessarily the scene of shattering announcements, but we always get some photos and some information that allow us to wait for the next one ...

Here is the schedule:

London Toy Fair 2013 : from January 22 to 24, 2013

Not much to expect from this first Toy Fair. Photos are prohibited and generally little information reaches us during this show. Huw Millington (Brickset) will certainly be there again this year and will give us a detailed account of his visit to the LEGO stand.

Nürnberg Toy Fair 2013 : from January 30 to February 4, 2013

LEGO is generally more permissive at this show which takes place a few days after the one in London and allows a few handpicked sites to take pictures.

New York Toy Fair 2013 : February 10 to 13, 2013

It is during this major event that LEGO shows the most. All new products are on display and photos are allowed. This is the best opportunity to discover all the novelties of the current year.

San Diego Comic-Con 2013 : July 18-21, 2013

LEGO is taking the opportunity to create a buzz and get its toys talked about in as many media as possible, specialized or not. As for the new products presented, it is minimum service. The smallest brick revealed is enough to ignite the web, so why do too much? Usually, LEGO releases an exclusive mini-set or a few new, limited-edition minifigs for the occasion.

Star Wars Celebration Europe II 2013 : July 26-28, 2013

This year, Star Wars Celebration takes place in Europe. We'll probably talk a lot about Episode VII, The Clone Wars and LEGO Star Wars. There will obviously be the usual "LEGO Leaks" from Jedinews.co.uk to watch out for.

New York Comic-Con 2013 : from 10 to 13 October 2013

The other Comic Con that LEGO has a stand on. Not much to expect, some confirmations of what we already know, but generally nothing new. There too, an exclusive mini-set or a few new limited edition minifigs.

31/12/2012 - 18:46 Lego news

As noted in one of the comments posted on the previous brief announcing the first visual of this new 1188-piece Architecture set, other higher quality images are available at motayan's flickr gallery.

I have gathered all that for you here, so it's done, we can move on.

I have never launched into the collection of this Architecture range. I do not have the place to exhibit these models for which it is however the primary vocation and I prefer not to launch out rather than to be frustrated to have to leave these buildings in their boxes at the bottom of a cupboard.

31/12/2012 - 18:07 Lego news

Since we are in the LEGO catalogs for 2013, you can also download german version, the one that allowed us a few weeks ago to obtain the first images of the sets of The Lone Ranger range.

We learn that the two series (3 and 4) of the Planet Sets range will be available in May 2013, in Germany anyway.
And as for the Italian catalog, no trace of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles range ...

Note that the series 3 of the Planet Sets range is already listed at amazon since mid-December but without sale price or availability date.

31/12/2012 - 17:42 Lego news

It is thanks to a link posted by GRogall allowing to download the LEGO catalog (in Italian version) for the first half of 2013 we discover the first image of the next LEGO Architecture set: 21017 Imperial Hotel.

As some had rightly assumed when the name of the set leaked a few weeks ago, this is a reproduction of the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo built in 1890 and modified by architect Frank Lloyd Wright in 1923.

It is probably not what we call a monument or a "popular" building, but as often in the Architecture range with one or two failures, it still throws a lot.

Note the absence in this Italian catalog from the first half of 2013 the absence of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles range ...

30/12/2012 - 11:47 LEGO Polybags Shopping Sales

Unless you never watch Gulli or have no internet access, you'll find it hard to escape the Legends of Chima wave: TV commercials, LEGO "commissioned" reviews on many blogs or sites, etc. ...

I'm not a fan of this line, it's no secret, but I'm not bigoted either.

And so I take the opportunity not to die idiot by making me offer a polybag "30250 Acro Ewar Hunter"(!?!) for an order of a minimum of 55 € on the LEGO Shop.

The offer is valid until 31/01/2013 (or while stocks last).

Note that shipping is free from 55 € of purchase until 14/01/2013 (More info here).

On the sales side, I didn't find anything very interesting but I'll let you watch at this address.
