My own Planet: The competition

67 entries recorded as of September 30, 2012 at 23:59 p.m.

It's huge, and I thank each MOCeur who worked hard to offer as part of this competition their personal interpretation of a set. Planet Series.

Many planets have been proposed, some from the canonical Star Wars universe, others from the Extended Universe and even a few simply imaginary planets. The profile of the participants is also very varied: Young fans, confirmed MOCeurs, enthusiasts who are embarking on their first competition ...

The many emails I have received indicate your desire to participate by offering your best creations and I am very happy to see that many of you were seduced by the theme of this competition, which was intended to be accessible to all.

The jury will now look at each of your creations : Aesthetic aspect, respect for the regulations, creativity, technical concepts implemented, originality, all these criteria will be evaluated to arrive at a ranking of the best creations in the coming days.

Be that as it may, all those who do not win will not have to be ashamed of their participation: Accepting to submit your work to the eyes of others is already a victory in itself, even if it sometimes involves a necessarily subjective critical look at the from observers.

LEGO Star Wars Tatooine Diorama by Ar Sparfel

Ar Sparfel continues to advance on its diorama Tatooine for which he already presented a few months ago his Cantina from Mos Eisley with its bar filled with diverse and varied creatures ...

It is the turn of the Sarlacc pit to be presented in a staging including the infamous Jabba's barge and two Desert Skiffs patrolling around the pit housing Bounty Hunters' terrible devouring creature.

I particularly appreciate the relief around this pit, commonly called Great Pit of Carkoon, located not far from Jabba Palace, and used to make rebel prisoners disappear in long (very long) suffering.

Check out all the views of this MOC on Ar Sparfel's flickr gallery.

And, for what it's worth, Boba Fett did not die in the bowels of Sarlacc ... Ask Dengar ...
