I scrape the bottom of the drawer and the rumor of the day comes from Brickipedia, and the word rumor therefore takes on its full meaning ...
While we already know four of the LEGO Super Heroes sets from the first wave 2013, an anonymous contributor who knows a guy who works at LEGO (?!) Announces the existence of two more sets:
An Arkham Asylum set (with the minifigs that we discovered at San Diego Comic Con : Harley Quinn, Scarecrow, Poison Ivy, etc ...) and a set with The Penguin with his mini submarine and Robin, possible remake of the 7885 Robin's Scuba Jet: Attack of The Penguin set released in 2008.
If I tell you about it here, it's first because it's very calm at the moment but it's mainly because these two sets are plausible, if we stick to the list of minifigs seen during SDCC 2012.
For the rest, the four sets already announced are as follows:
- Tumbler + The Bat (TDKR) with Batman, Gordon and Bane
- Batboat with Batman, Freeze and Aquaman
- Spider-Man with a vehicle, Venom and Nick Fury
- Spider-Man with J. Jonah Jameson, Doctor Doom and Ultimate Beetle, and a plane
The always eagerly awaited newsletter intended for VIP customers (pretty much everyone ...) has just arrived and LEGO is really going all out to spoil us from September 1 to 30, judge instead:
50 VIP points are offered as a bonus for the purchase of sets 6868 Hulk's Helicarrier Breakout (59.99 €) and 6869 Quinjet Aerial Battle (84.99 €) ... Not 45, not 47 but 50 points! Or 2.50 € on each set to be used on a next order ...
Fortunately, it is possible to find these sets much cheaper elsewhere on the internet (the 6868 is at 43.60 € on amazon.it, and 6869 is at 62.19 € on amazon.es) ...
And that's all. You can therefore put away your VIP card and go back to your usual activities.
Those who have received their copy of the book LEGO Batman: The Visual Dictionary were able to discover these photos of prototypes of machines intended for superheroes. I'm still waiting for mine, amazon promises delivery for ... soon.
We discover over the pages a section devoted to the prototypes made by the designers of the range, with the Bane mount, before it was modified to give the machine that we know delivered in the set. 6860 The Batcave, a vehicle model for Mr Freeze made by Marcos Bessa (Designer who has worked on the entire DC Super Heroes range) but above all a version of the Invisible Jet of Wonder Woman, a ship difficult to reproduce anyway, since it is normally ... invisible.
It is not known if this jet will ever be available as a set in the Super Heroes range, or if Mr Freeze will be delivered with a supercharged snowmobile type machine in the next wave of DC Universe sets, but these prototypes are still very interesting to discover ...
(The photo comes from Eurobricks, I just cut out the gear to make them more presentable).
Always in line to offer its reviews of the latest novelties, Artifex presents the mini Slave I accompanied by the Boba Fett manifig of the exclusive Celebration VI set.
It's folded in 1 minute and 40 seconds, and it's the time you have to be convinced to spend a hundred euros in this set printed in 1000 copies and numbered available from many sellers on eBay.
If you have friends in Belgium, get back in touch with them right away by pretending to check in with them, you are going to need them ...
