ForrestFire Films: The Avengers

You who follow Brick Heroes, you probably remember from the Captain America Brickfilm realized by ForrestFire Movies and which had earned me some remonstrances because of the violence of the thing.

In the same style but less gory, here is another technical gem proposed by the same director and which features Batman and Robin. It's very high end in terms of brickfilm, the dialogues are really successful, the animation is perfect and the result should make you smile at least.

Note that at ForrestFire Movies, a brickfilm The Avengers is in the works. I can not wait to see him...

Ian McDarmid - Chancellor Palpatine / Darth Sidious

IGN gives us an account of the interview with Ian Mc Darmid alias Palpatine / Sidious which took place today as part of Celebration VI.

And it was Palpatine himself who brought up the subject of vaporware most famous in history (since Duke Nukem Forever was released ...): The Star Wars TV series (see this article for a timeline of the facts).

I reassure you right away, no major revelation has taken place. Ian Mc Darmid just mentioned that if the series whose action takes place between Episodes III and IV ever sees the light of day, he would very much like to reprise his role as Chancellor Palpatine / Darth Sidious. He would take a dim view if another actor could play this character for him.

Mc Darmid mentioned Hayden Christensen, stressing that his performance had not been judged at its fair value. He also added that he felt even more evil in Palpatine's costume than Sidious's, like a current politician would be.

In short, we haven't learned much about this TV series, and we are talking about the problems of financing the project, the exorbitant cost of special effects, etc, etc ...

9526 Palpatine's Arrest

This may be the opportunity to afford the set  9526 Palpatine's Arrest which is sold exclusively at Toys R Us at the LEGO public price, ie 89.99 €.

The merchant makes a promotional offer valid from August 20 to September 9, 2012: 10 € offered in internet voucher, from 40 € of purchase, in one go, of LEGO Star Wars products, which allows the cost of the set to be reduced a posteriori.

The bad news is that Toys R Us charges relatively high shipping costs (7.68 € in this case) and that the discount is suddenly not so interesting. Ordered alone, this set costs you € 97.67 postage included, compared to € 95.94 in the LEGO Shop (plus 89 VIP points).

The good news is that from August 25 to August 29, you can get delivery for 1 € (from 65 € of purchases and within the limit of 100 orders per day). What makes us an addition of 90.99 € with 10 € to spend on another purchase.

Despite everything, it's hard to find this set at a good price elsewhere now, its price reaches at best 109 € on amazon for example,...

If you are a fervent Toys R Us supporter, then this is the opportunity to pay for this set a little less, by taking advantage of this voucher later. The set is back in stock after being out of stock for a few days.

LEGO The Motion Picture - Vehicle Design Contest

You might as well tell you right away, this contest is reserved as usual for Americans and Canadians (except Quebecers ...). Sisi, it's written very small at the bottom of the presentation page.

In short, this contest aims to motivate LEGO fans by offering them a reward of $ 1000 to create a vehicle, submit their photo, get the maximum number of votes, win the competition and see their creation appear in the film soberly. titled LEGO The Motion Picture which will be released on February 28, 2014 in theaters (see this article).

As much to say to you that the photo gallery already looks like the big nonsense, and it will not go smoothly ...
