853431 - LEGO Super Heroes Magnets - Batman, Robin & The JokerLEGO continues to regularly release packs of magnets, stuck on their support, and several sellers, American and German, already offer on eBay this new pack (reference 853431) containing Batman, Robin and the Joker.

The prices range from 16.95 € + 6.00 € shipping at this german seller, at 23.09 € + 22.34 € shipping at this american seller...

The minifig of Batman (sh016) that can be obtained in sets 6863 Batwing Battle Over Gotham City et 6864 Batmobile and the Two-Face Chase is on sale for just over 7.50 € on Bricklink.

Le red robin (sh011) from set 6860 The Batcave is sold at the cheapest for 7.50 € on Bricklink.

Finally, the minifig of the Joker (sh005) delivered in the set 6863 Batwing Battle Over Gotham City is also available for around € 8.00 on Bricklink.

So you have no excuse to get these magnets and give in to the different techniques that allow them to take off without damaging them too much ....

Obviously, buying on Bricklink is never easy when it comes to limiting shipping costs, but by researching carefully and consolidating your purchases, you should be able to find an acceptable compromise.

I proceeded in this way to acquire many minifigs from the Batman 2006-2008 range and I got off honorably by favoring European sellers, often more expensive than the Americans, but who apply reasonable shipping costs.

New Star Wars Magnet Sets

I already know that this information is not going to upset the world of AFOLs, the fault of the point of glue that LEGO has decided to put between the minifigs and the base of these Star Wars magnets.

We will just note that these 3 new packs of magnets are already available in Germany and a forumer of Steine Imperium posted a photo from the LEGOshop in Wiesbaden. We therefore find:

1Wicket (Ewok), Imperial V-Wing Pilot, Jar Jar Binks

2 - Luke Skywalker (Hoth), Emperor Palpatine, Imperial Officer

3ARF Trooper, Embo, Aurra Sing

Like probably most of you, I stopped spending my money on these magnets since the minifigs were stuck to their base ...

Imperial Gunners by Omar Ovalle

It has been many weeks since Omar Ovalle launched his series of MOCs featuring Star Wars Action Figures, that is to say plastic characters but not from the LEGO catalog. The result which can sometimes put off the most fundamentalist AFOLs is always very interesting, especially in terms of scale. the approach is original the various creations of this designer of whom I speak to you regularly here are imbued with an obvious creativity even if the most talented MOCeurs may regret certain choices in terms of parts or finish.

This series of MOCs based on Action Figures now has around twenty creations that deserve a look. Just skip the use of miniatures, and admit that these characters set an unusual and interesting scale for these MOCs. The use of certain parts becomes surprising and in the end Omar Ovalle brings a little novelty and freshness to the often repetitive universe of Star Wars MOCs.

To see more, comment on these creations, criticize or congratulate Omar who is very open to discussion, go to his flickr gallery.

UCS Naboo Royal Starship by Anio

If there is a ship that LEGO has never produced but that many fans dream of one day seeing take shape in an official set, it is the Naboo Royal Starship or J-type 327 Nubian Royal Starship of its real name.

Aviation fans will immediately recognize one of the inspiration sources of this spacecraft seen in the'Episode I: The Phantom Menace : The Lockheed SR-71. This ship will allow Amidala to escape Naboo during the Trade Federation's invasion of Theed along with Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi. The ship will be damaged when it leaves Naboo and will have to land on Tatooine for repair.

Two MOCers are represented here via their achievements, including Gunner (image below) with a more playset oriented version with removable upper parts to access an interior space that can accommodate minifigs. The two approaches are very different and each will appreciate more one or the other of these MOCs according to its sensitivity.

Obviously, reproducing this curvaceous ship is a matter of compromise when it comes to LEGO. These two MOCs demonstrate that it is nevertheless possible to reproduce it in a rather faithful way, but the essential presence of chrome parts to make this machine credible compared to the model of the film undoubtedly impacts the possible cost of production and therefore of marketing. of such a vessel. The and 10026 UCS Naboo Starfighter released in 2002 already had some chrome parts on the 187 parts that compose it.
