Because it's a topic of debate on various forums, here's something to cut short and confirm once and for all that Iron Man will indeed have two armors (at least) in the film. These two screenshots from the trailer clearly show that Tony Stark will don a Mark VI version and a Mark VII version of his armor during The Avengers movie.
LEGO presents one or the other of these versions depending on the communication media (catalog, maxifig, etc.), which creates some confusion. The doubt is raised thanks to the promising trailer of this film with an exceptional cast.
That speaks for itself ... Brent Waller makes my dream come true this year: Obtain a Tumbler in camouflage version in one of the DC Universe sets based on The Dark Knight license and the upcoming movie The Dark Knight Rises.
The Brent Tumbler isn't a last minute creation, it's dated 2008 and you can even reproduce it using the instructions available for download here: The Tumbler Assembly Instructions.
This new version is a customized MOC, originally white and covered (cleanly) with a Tan vinyl paint and decorated with touches of Brown to best reproduce the camouflage effect characteristic of the film's machines. The finish is high-end, the whole is a CUUSOO project and Brent Waller shows you his gear from every angle in his flickr gallery.
Let's face it, if it's likely that LEGO will bring us a Tumbler this year, I doubt it's in a camouflage version. So if you want one, do like me, support this CUUSOO project without waiting....
Here is the new trailer released during the Superbowl and which shows us a little more what is undoubtedly the most anticipated film of this early 2012. On the menu, the Quinjet in action and taking off from what could be the Helicarrier (or any aircraft carrier), and some views of the merry superhero gang in action.
SPARKART !, Known and recognized MOCeur, launches a CUUSOO project to say the least original: It offers a series of astromech droids to assemble yourself according to the tastes (and colors!) of each. The starting MOC used as a basis for this project is excellent and we note the use of the dome of the astromech droid from the UCS set 10215 Obi Wan's Jedi Starfighter released in 2010. Sparkart proposes to produce this 4x4 dome in different colors that would create a whole collection of different droids.
The initiative is interesting and well deserves a little click of support on BEWARE. Below is a visual that allows you to better understand the scale of these astromech droids.
Seen on flickr, this MOC of the YT-1300 Light Freighter by Babalas Shipyards is quite interesting. It reproduces the Millennium Falcon with a mock-up look that I don't mind.
But it also offers a fully fitted interior which makes this MOC a good playset whose scale is, according to Babalas Shipyards, halfway between the Millennium Falcon UCS (10179) and that of the set 4504 released in 2004 in the range System.
MOCeur posted many views in his flickr gallery and comments on them extensively.
