Sentinel vs Wolverine by BaronSat

A very successful new creation from BaronSat on the Super Heroes theme involving Wolverine and The Sentinel, the mutant hunter robot seen in the comic The X-Men, the video games based on the franchise and the animated series X-Men The Animated Series.

Nice exercise in style with a nice play of colors and a very similar Wolverine minifigure. Special mention for the hands of the Sentinel who are even able to hold a minifigure without problems.

Wolverine vs. Sentinel

I am obviously at my expense on the principle of the official packaging, which on the LEGO Super Heroes Marvel range does not include the visual codes of other derivative products on the same theme as is the case for example on the Star Wars range . Instead, LEGO simply changed DC blue to Marvel red.

Regarding these Hero Factory type figures, not much to say. We like it or we hate it, and only Iron Man (4529 September) finds favor in my eyes. The character being in armor, this representation remains in the mind with a justified robotic aspect. It still lacks a few additional parts around the axes to flesh out the armor a little and give it a more massive appearance.

Hulk (4530 September) is definitely way too cartoonish and reminds me of a character from the Ben10 universe with his very / too stylized face ... In this set the Hulk is dressed in his tattered pants / blue shorts unlike the figurine of the set 6868 Hulk's Helicarrier Breakout shown wearing beige pants.

Captain America (4597 September) might have been successful if it weren't for those useless armored epaulettes that have nothing to do with it. The shield is pretty and will undoubtedly be used by a few MOCeurs inspired to reproduce Cape Town at the scale of the shield, but with parts System.

Note that these three sets were briefly put online on Amazon a few weeks ago at a price of € 14.50 before being withdrawn (see this article).

XJ-2 AirSpeeder by Darth Yogi

This machine, piloted by Bail Organa (played on the screen by Jimmy Smits), senator from Alderaan and adoptive father of Leia, is largely inspired by a car that actually was produced: The Tucker Sedan of 1948, of which only 51 copies were produced. were marketed at the time.

Darth Yogi delivers here a nice MOC of this machine on which we find all the attributes of the XJ-2 AirSpeeder seen in the saga: the characteristic round grille with its headlight, the color scheme and the prominent windshield. Several views are available in his flickr gallery.

Another MOCeur, Eleven-Thirty-Eight, had proposed in 2010 its version of this speeder, with an equally respected color scheme, but a different bias with regard to the front cover and the pre-breeze of the machine. . To see in his flickr gallery

By the way, if LEGO could decide to bring out this speeder with Bail Organa's minifig, it wouldn't be a refusal ...

You don't know yet if you should spend your pennies in the set 9489 Endor Rebel Trooper & Imperial Trooper ?

It will take you 1 minute and 13 seconds to make up your mind with this stop-motion review which presents the minifigs of this Battle Pack in detail. The speederbike and the shaft are also assembled and presented from every angle, so as not to miss anything and buy (or not) knowingly.

Bat-truck-mobile by Lino M

The international Batmobile 2025 at LUGNuts is definitely an inexhaustible source of interesting MOCs.

You will tell me that the machine presented here is nothing like a Batmobile as we know it. And you're right, but I love this Batman-Art-Deco truck. Its massive and powerful side reminds me of all those trucks armored by a band of survivors fighting against vampires / zombies / etc ... that we see all year round on NT1 or TMC in more or less successful films ....

What if Gotham City becomes an area populated by the bloodthirsty undead? Batman would drop his carts to get behind the wheel of this truck and rush into the crowd.

To examine this Bat-truck-mobile in detail, it's on the flickr gallery of Lino M that it happens.
